Fuck those toothless Hillbillys in Kentucy & West Virginia. Their opion would hold a little more weight if half their population had altleast gotten past a 6th grade education.
I watched this when it aired live and I thought it was a great point and to me it nails home why I do not support Hillary Clinton. The upstanding and "Presedential" thing for her to do would be to denounce those who say "He is a muslim" or "I can not vote for a black person" and for her not to do this points out the dark selfishness of the Clintons and shows me a person whom I DO NOT want representing me in the White House.
They are being asked; but more importantly, issues of fairness and equality are being addressed by the Obama campaign. He's stated on numerous occasions that he wants to make the American Dream a possibility for EVERYONE.
The real question is why do those that hold on to outdated, racist views insist on ignoring the positive message of hope, change and diversity that is a fundamental part of Obama's candidacy ?
It is not about people voting for Hillary because she is white it is about people not voting for him because he is black. That is to say how many people would not have voted for Hillary if Barack was white with the same message. Moreover, black are not voting for Barack because Hillary is white and they don't want to vote for a white person. They (like myself) would just like to see a black man become the president of this nation that they have been equally apart of for hundreds of years.
It's only racist to vote against Obama if you don't vote for him simply because he's Black. It's also racist to preach hatred against white people or any other group because of race. The video documents racisms in West Virginia. Approx. 20 percent of the voters admit to being racist.
I agree with your statements. But it seems that when rational arguments are presented for not voting for Sen. Obama they are generally dismissed and the prevailing attitude is that you are racist for not voting for him. There can be no doubt that people of all races make and advocate many contrary positions. Rational people try to evaluate those positions by what they believe to be moral and support the ones they agree with.
Clearly there are folks who don't vote for Obama simply because they disagree with his policy positions. Frequently people make excuses for their racism. I hope America doesn't make excuses for it's racism, what there is of it, on election day. It's sad to see racism continuing in 2008. It's makes our country look bad. I don't care if folks vote against Obama; as long as it's not because he's Black. I support him because he's the best candidate; not because of his race.
Again I agree with you. For me the bottom line comes down to this, unless a person openly admits their prejudices which many people do, you have to believe them until their actions prove them to be lying. I don't believe there is anything wrong with supporting Sen. Obama, I simply disagree with many of his statements.
1. Unilateral nuclear disarmement.
2. Support for the Global Poverty Act in times of dire monetary needs of America.
3. Premise that somehow by America consuming less is good.
I'm not sure that you have accurately represented Senator Obama's position on those issues; however, you don't appear to be a racist. All I can say is, at least you're not a racist and at least you're thinking about the issues. I hope the American people will do the same.
She injected the race germ into this primary, willfully and shamelessly. she brewed it and nutured it to bloosom and make them racist happy. That's why she won WV and KY.
I just had a thought; perhaps she is continuing in this race to give Barack a taste of what he can expect in the general election. I wonder if he'll be better prepared because of this ?
she'll never say that cause her goal is to try (though it's ovah) to win (insert laughter here). her campaign slogan might as well be "yes i will" because she doesn't care how, she just wants the vote. she will justify that by saying once she gets in office she can fight racism, but that is a very convenient fight for her. to ride the wave of racism then condemn it is hypocrisy at it's best. he will win without the support of racists in nov. this convo is overdue. obama never whines about it.
Finally, Obama and the world gets to see the kind of demons blacks had to deal with during slavery. Nothing has changed !

Will Obama denounce votes where gender is an issue? Or how about people that voted because he is black? And why aren't these questions being asked?

If gender were a countervailing issue to race; the racist in West Virginia would not have supported Hillary Clinton. That's common sense.

She should but she doesn't want to 'cause she depends on them (racists).

when they say 'I won't vote for a moslem' it really means 'I won't vote for a black'
