  • Is that ronnie drew and barney in the corner?

  • Very good, He really was very well in that TV show

  • This is brilliant!

  • Beautiful song in a beautiful language and sung beautifully. Pure Class. Go raibh maith agat.

  • A few jars or not,a classic song.

  • Who's the fat lad presenting the show? You wouldn't think it was only 118 years since Black '47.... They look ferociously depressing/Victorian with those suits. In fashion terms alone, I can see why they say The Clancys livened things up!

  • 3 people were trampled down by Puc ar buile. Dont be sad lads!

Definitely a few pints south of Soberville, that one, God bless 'im.

  • yeah, Seamus looks a bit jarred.. amhráin iontach ó na hamharchlann! buíochas don upload.

  • whats the name of the presenter i can't think of it????go raibh mile ha

  • @doctorpapaya Jeez never heard anyone call Irish ugly before, think youre definitely in the minority there boss... is má deir tu é sin arís brisfidh mé do phus. Is minic a bhris béal duine a shrón

  • @tony10396861 lmao, Im mighty proud to have my Irish good looks, Ive NEVER heard that claim in my life either. Nothing got the girls more giggly and entranced as when I would talk about Ireland and play my Irish music....And you know why I had all the girlies to talk to?? My Irish good looks of course!!! Must be some block faced, pug nosed, shaved head American TV idol worshipping going on here. Btw, most Americans get those good looks from their Irish blood. Now Im rambling... Good on you mate,

  • why don't we have this on TV any more?? we all love reeling in the years but nobody seems to know about all the good music...

  • @doctorpapaya

Go n-ithe an cat thú is go n-ithe an diabhal an cat!!

    Gaeilge abú!!

  • Ha ha Benny hill and seamus ennis

  • I love the way he nearly forgets the lyrics

  • They dont make voices lke that any more.

  • Reminds me of my childhood man made me cry.

  • @magiclard affected me in the same way, I have to admit !!

  • is that morrisey behind seamus ?!

  • @mojochessclassics LOL!!! omg that was crazy. Looks like him doesnt it?

  • He may have been drunk, seeing as how he confused the 2nd and 3rd verses, but I think it was just the Tuberculosis.

  • The goat gave him a belt in the arse with his horns, making rags of his new trousers!

  • It's the guy with the guuitar one of the Clancy's ?

  • @ErnstBecker Yes, Bobby Clancy is playing the guitar right next to Seamus Ennis.

  • Has anyone else noticed that the Dubliners can be seen in the corner of the audience?! hahahahh

  • I did ^^

  • Love this song - Always sing it at parties or weddings and goes down a treat especially when all sing the chorus. And it's being sung by

  • Well that's not too bad..

  • @tinsista I think they beat him up....

  • Watching Ennis on TV was like watching a visitor from another dimension informing us on how music could be more closely aligned with elementals like Water, Air, and Bacon Grease. Wholesome Kudos to the uploader.

  • This song uses the symbolism of a mad goat to describe how the Irish fought against the British. I prefer the Liam Devalley version though.

  • This one is more complete, but Devally's version is quality too!

  • Hilarious, thanks for the posting.

It's a comical song about a goat that get's pissed off. Haven't heard it for about 35 years

  • Ah ! Simply heavanly !

  • where would i get irish folk music in the our proper language irish .. can any one tell me please ?? go raibh mile maith agat ... im doin me best ha

  • I can't understand why you doubt it's a goat they are talking about when you don't know?! 'Poc' is the Irish word for a male goat.

  • Ok, what are they realy talking about? I doubt its about a goat. I used to listen to this as a kid and miss it.

  • This whole programme is fantastic. Lets hope it never gets taken off. A room full of what were to become superstars of Irish music just sittin around doin what they do best!

  • The brunette on guitar is Sharon Collen.

  • What a gem this!

  • Who's the brunette on the guitar?

  • I have this programme, but i don't have Seamus Ennis singing, An Poc Ar Buile, We Gem, bril.... thanks for posting it.

  • Unreal! Dochreidthe ar fad!

  • I never knew Seamus Ennis sang! Great video! What a wonderful musician was he.

  • He also played fiddle, and was actually quite good at it from what I can tell. (I'm a piper, so I wouldn't really know, but...)

  • He played whistle too.

  • Heh, I loved this! What's it that they're singing about? This sure will go to my favourites! :D

  • They're singing about and praising a goat!

  • Thanks for this one. lovely stuff. Ireland of Old.

  • !!!!WOW!!!!

  • Séamus Ennis looks as though he had a few jars here. Great old days.

  • With the Dubliners playing the backing, pure class!

  • Seán macReamoinn reminds me of Ronnie Barker here!!
