  • u old butt licker your not an american your a nigger lover boooooo you suck

  • "nurdsrool" you are 12 years old and should be more respectful of your elders. that was pretty tasteless. your parents know you use this site?

  • u old fart

you and your communist buddies can die of aids

realize that DEMONCRATS only want to fuck up america

I hope your kids pull the plug on u in the hospital when u r a vegetable

  • ur right

  • Worried that socialized medicine would lead to rationing? Huh? We already have rationing of healthcare - It's rationed to the rich, and as far as your socialism comments go - I think the bankers are enjoying some of the largest expenditure of socialism this country has ever seen, and they promptly pissed it away on a retreat getting their toenails polished and their rolls of fat messaged. piss on you!

  • -If you believe in open borders, encouraging illegal immigration and subsequent sanctuary cities, even at the unnecessary burden to the American taxpayer for education and health care costs, vote Obama.

-If you want another "Cuban Missile Crisis", vote Obama.

-If you want the government to give out welfare checks to people who don't pay taxes, vote Obama.

-If you want a nationalized health care, vote Obama.

-If you want another 10-20% of your income taken away, vote Obama.

  • "P pushed an evang. agenda in Was'a. "She wanted p'ple who believed in creat'ism on the [school] b'rd. I said, 'How can you believe in crea'ism your father's a science t'er.' She said, 'We don't have to agree on ev'thing.' I pushed her on earth's cre'n, whether dinos and p'ple walked earth at same time. She said yes, she'd seen dino fossils with h'mn footprints in them." Did she believe in "End of Days"? "She looked in my eyes, 'Yes, I think I'll see Jesus come back to earth in my lifetime'."

  • obama 08 vote for hope...

  • which one is a muslim terorist?

  • not obama you idiot

  • yes obama you idiot

  • Are you simple? Get a grip of yourself. You're like a child with those kind of views. What a waste of oxygen you are. If Obama had even the SLIGHTEST ties with terrorism, he would be off the campaign trail in a heartbeat. Bill Ayers is a university lecturer that Obama knows and worked in conjunction with. SO WHAT? Loads of other politicians did as well.

  • dude me simple? look at your name sergeant dildo! you might want to change your name before making a stupid ignorant comment like that! What makes you so SURE that he would be off the campaign trail if he did?? You really trust our government that much? Because I don't. they are stupid. Bill Ayers bombed three buildings you retard and then on 9/11 said he wish he had done more! Gosh you are so fucking naive.

  • No I don't trust the government, I'm just saying that if there were any serious questions about Obama's morality and conduct, then everyone would know by now. Ayers is a member of the public and is an expert on education, hence his relationship with Obama. They're not 'friends', just but they know each other. Yes Ayers is a convicted terrorist. Yes he is unrepentent. It doesn't mean his expert views on education shouldn't be heard and it doesn't mean that Obama agrees with any of his ideology.

  • the hardships of AMERICAN ECONOMY, BIN LADEN is laughing, and ALQUAEDA IS HAVING BIG TIME PARTY, how can so called PATRIOTS create kaos and make their enemies smile?

MC BUSH 2008 = the end of USA

one chinese thinker was right, the floods and haricanes always signs the fall of an empire.

  • i thought the video was well made, even though im a republican

  • with this innovative crap its a great idea,now..whos gonna pay for it i sure as heck am not going to spend my EARNED money on TRYOUTS and THEORIES you can do that.again is say offshore drilling is the only way we can stop funding our enemies and start supporting ourselves hence lowering our gas prices.what a thought?dems didnt think of that now did they obama talks the talk but his history doesnt walk the walk sorry

  • I am going to guess that MarxistOsama went to either Kansas State or Iowa State and either dropped out or had to perform as a fifth year senior. I guarantee that I am far more accurate in my statement than he.

  • you did not attend niether princeton nor standford, ever. If you had you would sound like such an uneducated ass. Typically republicans and those who attend state schools sound like you.

  • idiot. Do you most attorneys, especially ones with Harvard law degrees are still paying off the hundreds of thousands borrowed for law school. Republicans like bush have to donate millions for daddy to buy them a degree. Do you want politicians so dumb and rich and out of touch that they own seven houses and are too stupid to EARN a degree?

  • Good for you, you are correct in what you say! I don't believe in abortion, but I am still pro choice. Whether it is right or wrong it is still going to happen. When does life start? I'm not sure, but I don't think it starts when the egg & sperm unite.....does it start when the heart beats? These are all questions that everyone sees differently.

  • because ur a douche and dont realize that there are more parties than the dems and reps hahaha moron. vote ur retardation it doesnt matter. ur vote doesnt exist.

  • Obama is more inovative? That would be great but he has absolutely NO experience. And to top it off, Obama has told us WHAT he wants to do, but has failed to tell us HOW he plans to do it. I'm voting Republican and I'm pro choice!

  • urantiasaturn1 said it best the democrats give us the illusion of choice,to be pro choice is actually contradictory to abortion, when a woman gets pregnant its not about her anymore its about her child.(if you didnt mean pro choice like abortion pro choice then sorry)our society is so selfish everything is about me and my body, not another human being. Golda Meir quotes "there will never be peace until they learn to love their children more then they hate us" :/

  • YOur a Democrat because you are mind-controlled. It's all socialist communist propaganda to give us the illusion off choice. There is no choice. The same rich pricks have been stealing from us regardless of party and starting wars to take resources from other nations whether we like it or not. Obama is no different - CFR member, Brezinski puppet - and he's not African American - he's half white. Get over it. You see what you want to see. Sheep.

OBAMA - LIES YOU BELIEVE IN.

  • most people know that Republicans have destroyed America. Reagan and Cheney have been outright EVIL and part of Satan's plan. Republicans will burn in hell right next to the Pharisees. Even everyone who just voted for republicans will spend eternity in hell for what they have done to America. It is nothing but ignorance and mostly about abortion.

  • your religion is shaky you just said everyone who is against abortion is going to burn in hell along with the pharisees, so now your playing God.what did reagan and cheney do to america that ruined it?abortion is my deciding factor for a vote,if you kill innocent babies im not going to vote for you,its genocide,we have entered the holocaust of "unwanted pregnancies" so its okay to have sex but once you pay the price for it, dont worry you can just KILL it.read scripture my friend its there

  • Bush and Cheney killed hundreds at least and maybe thousands of innocent babies in SHOCK AND AWE. Open your eyes as Satan is keeping them closed. Democrats are FAR the lesser of the two evils, Give up to Ceasar's what is Ceasar's.

  • first try to find something that shows rep. and dem. voting records on it youll see that most of the dem. including Hilary Obama Kerry Edwards and so on all voted for abortion, Bush however has voted prolife most of his political career.McCain voted for stem cells in babies but other then that is all prolife.also if your the lesser of two evils that means your still evil.what have the democrats done for pro life causes, nothing, they talk about loosening taxes, have they,no,

  • You can't read very well, dumb dumb. I am a Christian and if you REALLY read the bible you will know that Jesus loved women equally with men and pro choice is what true Christians are. Republicans are Pharisees. They talk pro life for votes and to subjegate and denigrate women in back-alley, life threatening abortions. Republicans are all about money, they killed thousands or tens of thousands of babies in shock and awe with a nod and laugh for OIL. Please read better.

  • Jesus loves everyone, everyperson,& if you look into the church teachings only abortions to save the life of the woman or of other babies during multiple births is accepted, everything else is murder.you have the choice to do good or evil but your only freedom is in good and is killing children what true christianity is about.show one place in the bible where it says women can kill babies,on jesus way to the cross he passed the crying women he said weep not for me but for the children in your womb

  • again i ask you what have they done give me facts statements dates times that reagan and cheney have been"outright EVIL"also you continue to play God.its not your place nor ever will be your place to condemn the soul of another person.i dont know why you think that most republicans support abortion because they dont and abortion needs to be the deciding factor in who we vote for thats what christianity is all about.if its ignorance share with me some of your wisdom, of what you plan to do today

  • cheney NOT evil come ON he outed agents devoted to our country because of their party alignment. He made our policies to attack Iraq for OIL. He has been compared to Darth Vader for a reason. Republicans are ANTI CHOICE stupid, and continue to denigrate women and try to force them to death in risking illegal, back alley abortions if they had their way. Jesus loves women equal to men and understands today's world with it's environmental and overpopulation problems. You however do not.

  • if we wanted oil we wouldv just taken it.how much do you hear of the good in iraq, you dont because our media doesnt want to.what religion are you of because i would like to suggest some great books on church teaching and on abortion.how can you believe jesus would permit abortion.since roe v wade there has been over 48 mil.babies killed.tell the millions who die in storms that the world is overpopulated.or the 911 vicitms.every human life needs to be granted dignity.if not why were you born?

  • Every heard of the saying:

All is fair in love and war!!

  • With ya 100% as you know, and I'm even more encouraged since his decision of the yesterday~.. I see it as an excellent choice{!}, and it puts to rest fear of other choices, {though pretty unlikely in retrospect I suppose}, he could have made!

Hey, 60??? Nooo waaay!! lol HAPPY BIRTHDAY this month, btw!x)

  • If Gumby were running as a (D) instead of O'bama, would you vote for Gumby? Gumby is innovative. Gumby is more green than O'bama. Gumby is probably smarter than O'bama. The French are already familiar with Gumby. Gumby is more animal-friendly than O'Bama. Gumby's carbon footprint is smaller than O'bama's...I've given you at least 5 good reasons Democrats should write in Gumby. O'bama promises a tire gauge in every home - innovative but stupid.

  • You are an idoit. Obama is not qualified and can't speak unless he has a script. McCain made OSAMA look like a little boy the other night. LOL

  • Democraps DID murder David Koresh and his flock of christians, didn't they?

  • agreed

now, that being said, I love this guys glasses you can barely tell he is wearing any

  • lol, my glasses! Non-reflective coating.

  • i cant belive you pick obama his name is like osama he is a muslin he support communism COME on wake up america

  • sounds like you have selective memory, tonto!

you are 50-60 years old and you know of no other time in history when we faced greater social, economical and political times?

You dont remember vietnam? you dont remember when democrats murdered 4 innocent students at kent state? you don't remember the terrorists holding Americans hostage and the long gas lines and high interest rates under jimmy cah-tah?

I think you do remember these things, you are just hoping that the rest of us do not.

  • With respect, I believe today is worse. Global jihad, re-configuration of the world economic dynamics (see, China), wars in the Middle East, Iraq, Afghanistan and the Caucuses, not to mention the global climate crisis. Population decline in Europe. The whole world is in disarray. I remember yesterday; do you see what's happening today?

  • Sir,

I do not see where either john mccain or barack hussein obama is going to change any one of the concerns you mention, well not for the better anyways.

However, I do feel that mccain has more experience in government because he has been involved in politics much longer that the 143 days obama has been in office.

This election will not be about voting 4 the better man, but more about voting 4 the lesser of the two evils. Dream in 1 hand & crap in the other. See which hand fills up 1st.

  • what global climate crisis? you mean the changing of temperature? thats called weather my friend and yes it does change,or are you going to blame the penguins for the last ice age. you were alive in the 70s everyone was going to freeze to death remember?were entering the next ice age they said, why is this any different, all non biased studies have shown that we produce LESS then 1%of GHG not to mention the polar ice caps are melting but the ice up north has consistently been getting larger.

  • Democrats murdered the Ohio students? Democrats? What did Nixon have to say about that?

  • White guilt at its finest.

  • so if john mccain had no brain and yelled change change change would u vote 4 him

  • I'm in favor of Obama too... but I choose that only because he is the lesser of the two evils.

I like neither platform. Choosing between a Democrat and a Republican seems to be (at least in my 36 years) deciding if you want to starve or survive by eating dung. Neither choice is good... then it comes to the lesser of the two evils.

  • It's funny how the "Why I Am A Republican" videos have around 3 stars or below, while the Democrat videos have 3 stars or higher.

  • Yeah, I guess that's to be expected given the environment.

  • So I guess this guy forgot about Carter. This obuma dude is gonna make it way worse than Carter. And he is racist. Sorry folks. he is. NOBuma.

  • agreed my man,

hell, the man disprected our flag and makes a big deal outta wearing a flag pin.

  • Ditto!

  • Yours is great too!! Also, I think ppl should go watch "final ode to my father lafontaine" for this contest...DO two ppl get to Denver or one?

    Greg

  • I mean visit the other contestant video FINAL ODE TO MY FATHER RAY LAFONTAINE!

    Kudos to yours as well!

    Have a SUPER DAY

  • Dems will not be the right choice for 2008. It will be in 2012.

Why? It's because right now we need a republican with a backbone and some good old fashioned experience to stabilize the situation. A democrat will do irrational things to reverse the current course, which will damage the country further. Democrats will raise taxes, will stop drilling for oil in the USA and thus send this country into a bigger hole than we are in currently.

I don't trust our nation's safety to a "newbie" just yet.

  • agreed with you my man!

  • Thanks man!

  • good video

  • John McCain realizes he can not win so he has started a serious effort to discredit Obama and weaken his Presidency early on. It's the kitchen sink strategy that Hillary tried earlier this year. There is nothing hopeful about it and it says more about them than about us. We as Democrats must hold them accountable for THEIR war, THEIR economy, THEIR gas prices and THEIR lack of values! Only 24% of Americans think we are on the right track...that's the Republican record. Say it often!

  • Blue, yours is such illogical, emo rhetoric. Blame Bush? Both sides of Congress deserve their share of the blame for the last 35 years! The last time we were dimming lights and standing in gas lines, Jimmy Carter was President and American hostages were being held in Tehran. Can you say D-e-m-o-c-r-a-t? We also had 8 years of Clinton. Democrat.

Our leaders should have moved for independence back in the 70's, but gasoline wasn't expensive enough to make alternatives profitable.

  • I agree. Obama is about going deeper, finding not just the short term, but the long term solutions to our energy problems and things on the grand scheme of things when it comes to national security. I just served 4 years in the Marines, so I know about honor all to well, but there is a difference between honor and ego. We have to put our ego behind and do what's best for our country rather than worrying about what others think of us. In we would better our image by seeking a means to an end.

  • Amen, Tom! Great video. BTW, I have volunteered to work at the DNC in August. I am one of some 21,000+ volunteers. Can't wait to be there amongst all the excitement and history-making. Will keep you posted!!

  • Ditto!

  • You express your support for Obama much better than I can.

Since you are a fellow Obama supporter, you may like to watch my recent video series documenting my encounter with Obama in Berlin. Yes, shameless self-promotion here, but it's just for you because I think you'll like to see it. :)

    Caroline

  • Our mutual friend Octeby beat you to the promotion thing, Caroline. He was absolutely correct in calling your Berlin videos excellent! I enjoyed them tremendously.

  • I think it's great that you're supporting a candidate you believe in and who will, (most over used word of the year)CHANGE our country. But, as much I wantchange, and for the war to end, and for us not to bungle up what we've worked hard for in Iraq, I don't need anymore taxes dumped on myself and my family, which is what Mr. Obama has said he will do. He is a novelty right now, who claims he is a bastion of change, but I think when it comes down to it he will not bring as much CHANGE as he says

  • The average American makes about $45,000 a year. Obama wants to raise taxes only on those that make $250,000 or more. Those making I think less than $150,000 will see a tax decrease. I don't know why people who make salaries equivilant to 150 bucks an hour are complaining about paying a little more for taxes.

  • I don't know why people who work hard all their lives to make a large salary to accommodate their family needs to shell out more money then needed, just because some people are on welfare, or aren't doing as well. That's how society works, has always worked and will always work. Some work hard, do better and make more, others don't do as well, and have to deal with a harder life. But, the people who do well, shouldn't have to have the sweat of their brow taken to accommodate others.

  • I agree 100%. NOBAMA in 2008!

  • Well, as you can see Barack claims he wants to withdraw troops as soon as he gets into office, and then he says he wants a large amount of our troops in Iraq to train them, and help them establish a military and government like our own. This will take about 75% of the troops currently in Iraq, so his entire campaign is now flawed.

Looking forward to your reply/a possible debate.

    Brandon ;)

Keep up the vids, love to think.

  • I might have agreed that Obama was different - until he did a 180 and decided to finance his campaign with private contributions (in lieu of public financing). He can now be bought just like every other politician and will be indebted to the highest contributors. Business as usual. Nothing different.

  • Congratulations on hitting the big six oh. I turn 61 tomorrow. Luckily, I only get older one day a year. Wish I was born on Feb 29.

  • Obama's actions do not match his turgid rhetoric. Both McCain and Obama say they will do the right thing by the economy. Saturday, while the nation's poor and middle classes struggled with savage inflation, both Senators voted to raise the federal deficit limit by $800 billion dollars. Flowery words will not pay the grocery bills. Neither of those two is the solution. They are the problem.

  • You said it! Don't forget FISA too. :(

  • As long as Americans believe that we only have two choices for president in the democratic and republican candidates, we will be subject to such authority. Ralph Nader collected 5% of the popular vote in 2000. Those 5 percent are due the utmost respect because they are the ones who truly want to cahnge America! I talk to people who are supporting these two major candidates, and they say they would go independent if there was a chance of winning. You are tho ones holding us back! Sorry!! Nader 08

  • I like that video.

Hopefully people will see over the color of the skin and give him a chance. Most of the people complain about his lack of experience but sometimes it can be good as he might think different. Plus i think most of the experience will come from people he will choose to surround him.

  • Very well said !!!! It is past time for a fresh view !!! If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always got !!!

  • Dr. Einstein hit that nail squarely on the head. Thanks.

  • Good rationale. I agree. Being open to change prevails over experience in my book, especially for this election.

  • Many commenters here seem to agree but others have been overcome by cynicism.

  • Anyone who is a Democrat or a Republican today has an unlimited tolerance for ignorance, ineptitude, and malfeasance. There may some subtle differences in how they talk, but there are no important differences in what they do.

  • Yep

  • And so? Your solution is to opt out? Ron Paul? Good ideas but no chance to be president. We have two choices whether we like it or not.

  • Vanishingly slim though it may be, Ron Paul has a better chance of becoming president than you do of deciding the presidential race with your one vote.

A vote for the lesser of evils is a wasted vote. As long as we docilely pick between the two War Party candidates, "whether we like it or not," the decent into statism and government control of every aspect or our lives will continue. I have a third option: My choice is to vote "none of the above," and work to the Campaign for Liberty.

  • I disagree. Betting on Ron Paul to be president is like betting on me to be president, i.e., neither will happen. Again, whether we like it or not, we NOW have a two-party system. Working for the Campaign for Liberty, however, trying to change that system, makes sense to me. This is how things get done in this country. Thanks.

  • The real choice is not between Obama and McCain. It's between the blue pill and the red pill.

  • One take. Not a single stutter or misplaced word. From a vlogger perspective, I'm insanely jealous.

  • Ah, thank you. It might have been one take, but not the first take.

  • Hi Tom, I really like your vids and opinions but I have to differ with you. The problem I see is the Dem's don't have the results to back up the grand things they are promising. The media would have you and I think the ressession we currently in is the fault of the republicans. Yet the ecconomy was growing, unemployment was down and oil was maintaining a less than 60.00 price prior to the dem taking over the congress in 2006. Obama will have to raise taxes to a rate higher ever before.

  • We already see most people paying as much as 30 to 40 percent of our income. How does 60 or 70 sound to you? He talks a great talk but I need to see results before I'll get on the Obama bandwagon.

  • We are in a real pickle right now, Cliff. Debt. Wars. Credit crisis. Huge balance of payments problem. Do you believe our tax structure is adequate to manage these problems? And, do you really think the price of oil was affected by a Democratic congress? Global capitalism is FAR beyond Nancy Pelosi's control.

  • Yes, I do believe it was within Pelosi's control.

And YES, I do believe that the messier the Democrats can make the nation, just prior to the election, the more "talking points" the more ammunition for change.

Secondly, yes, I do believe the price of oil is affected by the far left wing (which is now become the "middle") of the Democratic Party. I believe many think that the bicycle is better for the planet. (Was going to say horse and buggy--but PETA might scream "slavery.")

  • P.S. If you don't think that the Democrats have stood by while oil has escalated, then why does San Francisco--admittedly one of the most left Dem cities in America, ALSO, (SURPRISE!!), have one of the highest, if not THE HIGHEST oil prices in the country?

    That's Pelosi, Boxer and Feinsteinland.

  • With due respect, that's silly. Oil is controlled by the global forces of capital, not the US Congress. Stood by? What would you like Congress to do to bring down the price of oil? Pass a bill??

  • Tom, with due respect, you're wrong on this one.

Read SFGate online today, regarding Pelosi's block of legislation for offshore drilling.

I see billboards blanketing every freeway in America, with Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, Obama and Reid--looming over the freeway while standing on the steps of Congress.

A black stretch limo is parked in front, awaiting their regal descent. With the following slogan: "LET THEM RIDE BIKES!"

  • This is one of my favorites. Do you have any idea how many acres of oil fields are already approved for drilling and haven't been touched? Tens of thousands. They're sitting on leases and not drilling but saying they need more leases so that they can drill. Think they chose the worst sites first? I worked in the gulf with an oil company and I can tell you that's not the case. As for billboards...please.

  • RE: Offshore drilling, it appears that Barak now believes it should be revisited.

"ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Friday he would be willing to support limited additional offshore oil drilling if that's what it takes to enact a comprehensive policy to foster fuel-efficient autos and develop alternate energy sources." --Yahoo!News today.

I mean, I don't HAVE to be an oilman to realize we need independence from adversarial global oil interests.

  • The Dems have been crying ressession since Gore's campaign in 2000, With the exception of the effects of 911 it didn't happen until 2007. My point is they cried about it until it happen.

  • Cliff. This economic downturn was the result of three issues: housing crisis (overzealous lenders); energy prices (global political and competitive situation, see, China); food prices (see energy). With due respect, this was not a Dems issue. We are in a new global economic climate, with the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) in economic ascendancy and US balance of payments upside down. This problem is bigger than us. See PIMCO CEO Mohamed A. El-Erian's new book for deep insights.

  • I guess the better quetions is then how is that the republicans fault either. The title of you vid is 'Why I'm a Democrat" Which you infer republicains are to blame. I see the problem as being an American problem. And as of yet I see no viable solutions from the Dems. Just the bashing of what the republicans have done. Your right it is a global economy and we should start competing for it. The problem here is I don't see the dem's offering Solutions just bashing the ideas of the GOP.

  • That's because the Dems are whiners who want to bring the USA down. All in the name of the environment. Like the clown Palosi said:I'm trying to SAVE the planet." What BS.

  • From when I see, Obama offers more answers to the real issues that affect the world today, not the ones fabricated by bad leaders...

Thanks again - I have tonsillitis so I hope this makes sense!!!

    And sorry it's so long!!!

  • that, closer to home, they are going to stabalise the economy by using real methods (instead of asking unions to stop striking when their members are offered a 2% inflationary pay rise, when the real level of inflation is closer to 11% - as it is here), the don't often mention genuine methods to combat poor litteracy levels in 'developed' countries, high levels of unemployment and clear discrimination against those who happened to be born in the wrong country or postcode.

  • I think, generally speaking, in the UK, it's fair to say that people are tired of war ("war" against muslims, especially), people are tired of hearing world leaders shout about and talk tough on how they won't accept this that and the next thing. Very rarely do these "leaders" mention that they are going to act tough on 3rd world debt, that they are going to act tough on AIDS/HIV in Africa,

  • Hi Tom!

Thanks for your video - it's good to hear the American people talking about politics in open and sincere manner, not clouded by state loyalty, religious belief and racism. Your video and most of the comments under it seem to be honest and I'm seriously surprised by that!

The truth is, here in the UK, Obama is very popular. Our independant media talk a lot about him and generally talk him up.

  • Well, many people see politics as a chance to demonize other people. I believe both candidates are excellent leaders but that the time and place is right for Obama to bring a fresh approach to the Federal government. Thanks.

  • I have never actually declared a party. I have never voted in a primary election either. I am somewhat interested in politics. When it comes down to it whatever candidate wins, the one with the best support or staff will be the best man. I think Obama is smart enough to choose a good government team and I lean more to that direction. I really don't like the idea of more of the same. Great vid, Tom

  • I think the issue of which team the leaders pick is a perfect example of the kind of innovative leadership we'd see from Obama. Thanks.

  • Tom, you got him my vote too.

  • Great!

  • great video i dont really know much about the american thing because i am a canadian and i dont really care about that i think it because i am a young person but great video 5 star and great msg

  • Well some day you will learn how much this could affect you personally.

  • Well, our election will have tremendous implications for your life, so I suggest you watch closely!

  • If ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise.

  • No kidding. For as educated and open minded and TLG professes to be it would appear that he actually buys into the concept of free and fare elections. Sleep well TL. For what is the difference between obama and Mc on the matter that matters most. Nothing. Obama voted for the war, he voted for spying on Americans. Is there any other issue that can honestly be discussed? Not on Youtube. they do not allow the war to be dialoged on, its not an option for reply in the politcal section.

  • Must be nice to be aloof from the world and never have to actually be accountable for anything.

  • If I was an American, I'd be a democrat.

  • Wish you could vote!

  • I remember an episode of SouthPark where the choices in an election were a giant douche and a poop sandwich. I feel the same way about this election. There are no good choices, just the choices that we have. You made your decsion and I've made mine.

  • I, too, remember that episode fondly, but I think this is the first election in a long time where we have two candidates capable of bringing something new to the table and affecting some change. Senator Obama is an eloquent man capable of sending a message to our nation and the world about America's progress over the past few decades, and Senator McCain is a true moderate in every sense of the word who is a wiser man than he's commonly given credit for. It'll be a fun election, indeed.

  • Nicely said. I agree completely.

  • I agree with ARoboWizard, below. This election is between two of the most talented candidates we've had in a long time. I assume you've chosen poop and me douche. That's what elections are about.

  • As someone so insightful on so many other topics it pains me that you're such a rabid party man. I don't think either of the senators have any innovative ideas, just the same old bad ones. I must admit Obama has put some fancy new packaging on those old ideas and marketed his brand much better than McCain though.

I'll be writing in Ron Paul in Nov.

  • Rabid party man? I'd expect more from you, Brad. I said I thought Obama was more LIKELY to develop innovative ideas. McCain shows me no indication of doing that. Writing in Ron Paul is an honorable thing to do.

  • WOW! I got to say I'm kinda disappointed. An intelligent thought man like yourself relying on a leap of faith instead of do his research on such a important issue. Obama is not innovative nor a new change. Do you see how the whole media support him. He's the establishments pick. He's there new world order guy... Did you know about his world poverty act. He's already has acted to increase socialism in America and decrease our sovereignty to the UN and other One World Government Institutions.

  • I love it. The black guy is the establishment pick. Kind of an amazing assertion. Increase socialism? Where has that happened? UN and One World government...come on. We live in a deeply interconnected world. We're on the brink of seeing China become the dominant economic power over the next 50 years. What should we do? Hide?

  • Sorry you feel the need to vote for a man who has little if any experience and is as radical as 'Nobama' is....I'm personally going to vote for McCain. I just don't see Nobama as having any innovative solutions. His association with Rev. Wright was enough to turn me off.

  • Radical? Innovation is always seen as radical by the defenders of the status quo, right? Experience? Most presidents have had very little. As for Rev. Wright, what does he have to do with being president?

  • Oh Tom, just because McCain is 9000 years old does not mean he has no new ideas. Maybe he can't remember them but dog gone it Tom, I am certain that he has a few :-D

  • lol, 2/6.

  • This election will be decided by those voting against not for. It's an irony of our era.

    Frank

  • I think most presidential elections recently have had that tone, Frank.

  • What a profound comment--that this election will be decided by those voting against not for.... Sad, but true. Very well put!

  • Well it is sad but your candidate will make it worse. Obuma is a LOSER! He hasn't a clue!

  • Easy! The comment I am referring to goes both ways!! I have heard a LOT of people say they are voting against Obama. That's why I agree with the comment that most people are casting votes against a candidate. That does not mean he is MY candidate, because he is most definitely NOT my candidate!! This household will be voting for McCain. He's more qualified to be our next President. Obama was a high priced lawyer who evicted many people from their homes. He's wet behind the ears as a Senator.

  • I think I'm going to wait until elections are a little closer, running mates are chosen, a few debits are on the books and then jump into this conversation with both feet. Or maybe I'll just vote for McCain and call it a day:)

  • Exactly how I feel Paul. i'll be doing the same. -Russ

  • I'm totally with you, Paul. . . and shoot me now. . .Howard Stern. I continue to see this as the last-gasp of AARPY Boomers, desperate to relive their anti-establishment youth.

  • How is it that the younger candidate is the Boomer candidate? In fact, Boomers wanted Hillary.

  • Look forward to that. Voting McCain simply doesn't make sense to me. More of the same...

  • I think they are both the same corporately bought politicians.

But hey, there's always write in-think Gore!

Or how about Cynthia McKinney (Green Party)?

  • The idea of being innovative is wonderful - yet whenever they get into power most politicians seem too scared of the electorate and public opinion to do anything radical - maybe it will be different this time

  • Well, we'll see. I did say that I thought Obama was more LIKELY to be innovative, not that he absolutely would be. We never know until we know. Thanks, Brian.

  • Why do people always try to tell other people what they really think? Let me say this again: I support Obama because I believe he will create much more innovative practices and solutions than McCain.

  • I'll be voting Republican for financial and social policy reasons, but your assessment of Obama is pretty good. Innovative? Maybe...but we're seeing nothing more than a glorified Ted Kennedy or H.Clinton.

  • I think the financial leadership of the Republican party over the last eight years has been a disaster. Time for a change.

  • First of all: sorry for my english! And thanx for the video.

Yesterday Obama had a speech in Berlin. There were 10'000 (or so) people listening to him. This is just an example how enormously popular he seems to be all over the world. Now there are people here in Europe who say that this popularity abroad may be a problem for him at home because American people may say: we better vote for somebody else because we make our decisions ourselves. What do you think about that?

  • The US media say there were 200,000 people in Berlin, and the film showed lots of excited people. As for overseas popularity being a problem at home, we'll see. I heard today that in France, Obama is the choice of 86% of the population, which is remarkable. Thanks.

  • I heard in Germany it's about 75% of the people. I'm not German, I'm Swiss but here it's probably the same.

  • McCain = Bush

  • I've voted republican for years, but I have to say, I'm not thrilled with our choice of republican candidate this year. Not sure yet what I'll do when it comes time to vote. -Russ

  • This is a very clear choice for me, Russ. My gut feeling is that Obama will win easily.

  • I am not sure that some people realize what a difficult time it is.

Colapse of retail credit markets (affects housing, fuel, food, etc).

    Devaluation of the dollar internationally.

Unprecendented restrictions of American's right to privacy & freedom of movement with the US.

Cost of living vs stagnant or declining wages.

    ...

  • Population explosion (US population was less than 281M in 2000 and more than 301M now and growing). Which is increasing pressure on Housing, Food, Jobs, Transportation, Education, etc.

Crumbling Infrastructure (Roads, Highways, Bridges, Sewers, etc.).

Rising temperatures, and changing weather patterns.

I could of course go on and on. The point is, that all these things are coming together at once, and there are still people with their head in the sand saying stay the course.

  • Please make some videos again :(

  • Oops, didn't see Part 2, but it is a nasty confluence of awful events.

  • Bonnie! Hi! Yes, I'm afraid many Americans have no idea how serious things currently are. That's why I believe we need seriously innovative solutions. Thanks.

  • i agree also we need innovative solutions but clue me in on how the less wealthy can support the raising of taxes to find more THEORIES in alternative energy.things just to TRY out not to KEEP.or should we like democrats have always done and raise taxes again of the wealthy who already pay a hefty amount of our taxes.offshore drilling is the only solution until we as a COUNTRY can afford finding new innovative ideas plus the fact of obama and abortion comes in how can you support killing babies?

  • another reason: he's already extremely popular in the rest of the world.. :)

  • Yes, this is a positive factor, for me.

  • being popular with torrists is not always a good thing.

  • You ignorant asshole, you must think everyone outside the USA is a terrorist. It is people like you why your country is so terribly fucked up right now.

  • NO it's people like you spark, who think that the USA needs to kiss the but of the world. It's the other way around. The USA has helped more countries in this world than any other. When do these other countries ever help us? NEVER.

  • Tom
