You have good ears. Indeed it is a cardinal sin to record electric guitar with a digital machine. As we learned from our studio work, analog tape is best. You can hear our studio recordings at our website and also here on YouTube. Good choice with the Marshall. I like the Mesa, but my next amp will be a Marshall for sure! Tube, of course!
It's a tube amp(Mesa Boogie). We recorded this at rehearsal, through a cheap Yamaha digital 8 track with no remixing afterwards. So the mix aint gonna be perfect, it's just quick and cheap, which might explain the guitar tone. When we get the time and money, maybe we'll record a pro DVD. I agree with you about the bass. Of course, you can always turn up the bass on your computer. Do you have a subwoofer? Overall the sound is pretty good considering the circumstances. Thanks for listening.
right, mesa boogie nice!
and it probly is just the camera my mistake
its just the tone has that artificial sounding gain like most built in gain on amps I never get used to it lol
I use a marshall jcm 800 head so its way different

get a jcm 800 head and boost it up with a boss sd-1 super overdrive, then crank it
its the best tone ive ever had out of an amp. far surpasses that of the jcm 2000 series
took me a while to get the tone right, I came to some solid settings
preamp maxed, level on the pedal at about 2 oclock tone at zero and drive however much gain you need
its simple but its very particular
