@stich7771 -->> The white blob is caused by a delay in the avatar rezzing. Delays can be caused by a number of factors: SL being slow, that grid being slow. If it happens all the time, it's probably your computer lacking enough graphics power and bandwidth to get the job done.

For those of you wanting to create a second life account for teens, you have to create an account, submit a ticket, call customer service multiple times, and give verification that you are between 13-17. Basically call customer service and have them walk you through it (thats what they get paid for). But teen second life sucks, nobody plays it and its slow. Fun.

@peakdavid Glad to help. I play the teen grid myself, Well i would more often if my computer was a little stronger... But in all honesty linden lab doesn't exactly care, per say, as much for the teen grid as they do for the main grid. Pretty much the only reason for having the teen grid is for teens to have a 'sample' of what SL is like so when they are 18 they will want to be transferred. I only have a couple years to go though, so I'm using the time I have now to learn LSL :)

All the little goodies in the game you can buy, depends on your level of involvement. I would characterize SL as a game anymore. Today it is more of a teaching, meeting, and artistic entertainment platform, not really an MMORPG anymore.

Don't know the latest stats, but the in-world economy of Second Life supports thousands of residents in real life. However, the economy includes very little real world commerce. I think it is safe to say real world merchandising in Second Life is rare.

My students have had this before. Have you saved this outfit as a "New Outfit"? If not, do so. The way we solved it was to put on a completely different outfit, let it come in. Then try your problem outfit again. If that doesn't work, try emptying your cache and re-rezzing the outfit. (As a male, I am very uncomfortable using the word "outfit"--are you?)

@SaraKristin1 -- The PayPal information is for confirmation only. The game is free to join. Try starting over with a new gmail or yahoo email account. If you are entering a date of birth that makes you less than 18, you will have to do a confirmation of some sort.

No charge. Due to legal requirements SL must confirm ages via PayPal, etc.

I use Fraps at 30 fps or sometimes Camtasia at 30 fps. CamStudio does a good job too and is free. The best live action screen recorder I've found is Captivate's. But it is very difficult to covert out of Captivate to a video codec.
