@Slavesbydesign, clearly you're new to singing. Ever heard of pianissimo? It's an Italian phrase meaning, "very soft," and it's used in any form of music. It can be applied to voice easily and it's required to be able to sing it with proper breath support. Anyone can sing forte, or loudly, but it takes more skill to sing pianissimo AND forte.

@HomihachiMetal333 Actually, when you sing, you should be singing loudly. If you're singing really softly/quietly then you're probably just using your throat and not your diaphragm which results in weak tone and poor air support. It's called projection.

obviously you shouldn't even try to sing if you think these warm up exercises are stupid. Some times during warm ups you have to say and make sounds you wouldn't normally make. that is why they call it a warm up. Thank you to Cass for taking the time to post this video.....

you should use your keyboard or instrument, assuming you have one and try working on your own range with these exercises, you can improve control, range, and understanding of your own voice. none of these are obviously as good as having a coach of your own but you can learn some techniques and apply them to your everyday practice.
