  • PRESS 1 FOR A BIG SNIPE

  • That was so filthy i think i soiled myself

  • i was at this game, is so much more impressive when your there because of the great accuracy :)

  • Burke knows exactly what hes doing. Like some of u said, u cant determine if a 1st or 2nd round draft pick will be a superstar. Kessel is clearly a superstar in the NHL. He can score just as good as every other sniper in the NHL and has explosive speed. Definitely worth giving up a 1st and 2nd round draft pick.

  • @domcamm he gave up two first rounders and 1 2nd round pick. if he gave up 2010 2011 pick leafs would have had seguin

  • @NbaTheGreatest Im fine having Kessel over Seguin

  • Fifa09Wii>evanderlazer

  • by the way, Toew's best numbers are 34 goals and 35 points for 69 points... not 40 goals and 50 assists. And Seguin is definitely not better than Toews was in college. Seguin will be lucky to put up 25 goals and 35 assists 3 years from now.

  • @Fifa09Wii IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT STATS, GET AWAY FROM HOCKEYDB YOU FOOL.

  • You tell me it's not all about stats and then you just use stats without actually knowing what they represent. Nash scored so much in his sophomore year because he is the only good player on Columbus hence he got the puck a lot. How many assists did he have that year? because with nobody to pass to I doubt it was a lot. Nash was the playmaker in junior and Corey Perry was the scorer. That's why he didn't have 40 goals in junior. Not to mention he only played 50 games as opposed to 80 in the NHL.

  • Seguin "could've" been the canadian superstar toronto wa slacking but gave it up for a scum bag american like Kessel.

  • just a question... what do you think seguin's stats will be in the nhl about 3 years from now???

  • @Fifa09Wii Seguin is the same ht, same weight as Steve Stamkos when he played his draft year inthe OHL, Stamkos scored 58 g, 105 points, Seguin scored 48 g, and 105 pts. They both weighed 185, 6'1 at the draft combine, Stamkos is a tad bit better goal scorer while Seguin is a better playmaker, they both have bombs for shots from the point. And both have incredible, incredible bursts of speed. I think Seguin will be a 40 goal a year, 50 assist year guy. On par with the likes of Stamkos and Toews.

  • Stamkos dominated the junior ranks for 3 full years before he was drafted. Seguin has had 1 good year. Did you watch Seguin play for Plymouth? He has the potential to be an 80-90 point playmaker in his prime but nothing more. He might reach 40 goals 1-3 times in his career, but he won't even come close 3 years from now. It took Crosby 5 seasons to reach 40 goals and Seguin is nowhere near Crosby's level. And this is coming from a guy who hates Crosby.

  • @Fifa09Wii your a fucking retard, that all I can say, stay away from hockey seriously, you'd make a gawd awful scout to say the very least. THE VERY LEAST. Your logic is so pathetic that I wont even begin to embarrass how vague and cluelesss you put it and your examples mean fuck all. By your logic, why did rick nash, a guy who never even scored 40 in junior, score 41 in his sophomore season? why did duchene only score 79 pts in junior but scored 55 points at the NHL level a season later? dummy.

  • ahahahah i love how you say "its not all about stats" and then you start throwing out stats

What exactly did I say that was untrue? Seguin will never reach the level Crosby and Toews are on. Both are better scorers than Seguin yet Crosby didnt reach 40 goals until his 5th year and Toews never has so the fact that you think Seguin will in a few years is just laughable. You really have nothing intelligent to say so you just call me a retard and tell me to stick to soccer. You're so ignorant...

  • @evanderlazer "I think Seguin will be a 40 goal a year, 50 assist year guy." Bahahaha dude Seguin is not Joe thornton buddy, look at seguins junior career compared to the players in the league that score 40 goals and 50 assists lol. Damn I think it is you who should stick to soccer. It should be enough to see the release that kessel displays in this video to realize that the outcome of this trade is far from being conclusive

  • @evanderlazer idiot

  • @huzaifah123 truth hurts huh bitch? hurt leaf fan I wreckon.

  • @evanderlazer The difference being, Phil Kessel is a superstar at 22 years old...we don't know what Tyler Seguin will be. The fact you compare him to either Stamkos or Toews is laughable. Anyway, as a Leaf fan I'll take that scumbag American Phil Kessel and his 35 goals a year minimum for the next 10-15 years, over Tyler Seguin.

Central Scouting trying to tout Seguin as #1 over Taylor Hall is the biggest hoax perpretrated on hockey fans.

  • i miss hockey night in canada...

  • Favorite line with my favorite players

  • Kessel has the most accurate wrist shot in the NHL atm and his quick release only makes it more deadly. I think the Kessel trade was good not a mistake. Tyler Seguin is a great player but it is not like the Leafs need another defense. They already have one of the best defensive lineups in the NHL atm with Kaberle, Phaneuf, Beauchiman, and Luke Shenn and Gunnarson are only getting better and improving their game. All the Leafs need now is a big top six forward.

  • @troyMLG lol tyler seguin plays center

  • @briandolce LOL I meant Cam Fowler that was my bad lol.

  • @troyMLG he takes snap shots

  • good

  • good

  • kessel is going to bring hell to his division and conference for a while....sign kaberle to an extention without a no trade clause

  • 28 goals with out a center to play with? oh my, watch this kid really take flight when Toronto gets a legit number 1 center! I wonder If Boston was actually the losers of this trade! Nice to see the leafs beat the faggot Habs to!

  • @leafs86WSR

    faggot Habs haha. I agree.

  • I will give props though. 28 goals on THIS Leafs team is a damn good number to achieve.

  • Kessel is a ONE-WAY player. No defensive ability in him AT ALL.

Plus he needs to be in PERFECT position to get that wicked shot off.

I blame the Habs D on this goal. That pass should have NEVER made it through 2 D-men.

    But still a WICKED SHOT.

    I still don't like Kessel though. :D

  • you mad

  • you're right about the pass, but it is clear that you have no idea about Phil Kessel. No defensive ability at all? Are you kidding? As a forward, all he has to do is back check. And he is one of the most persistent back checkers in the league. Any more defensive ability, although great, is well beyond what forwards are required to do.

Perfect position? Are you an idiot? The best goal scorers in the league get into the perfect positions all the time. HENCE, why they are great goal scorers.

  • @niroopg I think you're misunderstanding what I meant about PERFECT position. What I meant was that Kessel isn't a goal scorer that can put the puck in under pressure. He needs plenty of room to cut in from the half boards in order to take his shot. How many times do you see Kessel circling around the zone just because the D isn't going to just let him get close.

Kessel has a good shot. THAT'S IT. No moves. 70% of the time he gets over the blue-line and loses the puck.

  • you fuckin idiot

  • You can not say he hasn't pulled his weight since he has come to Toronto without being considered a liar. He has 28 goals and 23 assists in 60 games, this after having major shoulder surgery in the off-season and missing the first twelve games of the season. He's on pace to be at least a 30 goal scorer this season in just 70 games. Plus the kids only 22 years old he's not even at his prime age yet.

  • I like that Hughson gave Kulemin props. Its about time more people notice how solid this guy has been all season. He is the complete playa

  • KESSELLLLL ... snipe show... no scope.. 51 pts and counting.. and already at 28 goals!!

  • Kessel sexy shot, Kulemin sexier pass

  • Why do you hate him?

You hate him cause Burke made a bad trade?

  • tavares has 21 goals and 43 points in 72 games, kessel has 28 goals and 51 points in 60 games...how is that you think the leafs first or 2nd round pick was gonna be anything even close as good as kessel? kessel is only 22 as well so hes only going to improve...it wasnt a bad trade imo

  • Ya Tavares in his rookie season, you can't honestly compare a 19 year old rookie to a player that has been in the league for 3-4 years.

  • I compared the two to show hngkng that kessel wasnt a bad trade (we gave away a first round pick, prolly not even 1st or 2nd overall)...its pretty clear that kessel is a much better player than tavares at this time

  • @asemooneaabi compare Kessel's rookie season to Tavares then it's a fair comparison. Kessel had 29 points in 70 games and even in his sophomore season he had 37 points in 82 games. His 3rd year was his first good year where he had the 36 goals but I don't think Boston will be getting someone of Tavares' caliber so i'll guess we'll have to wait and see :S that and to see if the Leafs can keep up their awesome play :D

  • @asemooneaabi BRO BRO BRO DONT EVEN MENTION THAT

    BOZAK MAN

    37 games -27 points

you could say for bozak if he play 82 games-71 points -)

  • @asemooneaabi THANK YOU.....fuck, im so sick of these fucking asswipes hailing tyler seguin as the next Bobby Orr...he'll be a decent 25 goal scorer, but Phil Kessel will be a top player in this league. 40-50 goals easily

  • @asemooneaabi its all good but if burke had given up the 2010 - 2011 pick instead of last years and we would have ahd seguin wioth kessel

  • @asemooneaabi That wwas Tavares's first season you idiot. Seguin +

  • bad trade? wait to see if these draft picks pan out first bud.

  • That true, I really should wait, but by judging right now, 2nd overall, and possibly 1st overall next year

  • 1st overall next year?? Have you seen Toronto play lately?? Ever since they cleaned house it's been a different team..

  • I'm gonna snap if that first rounder ends up being like an ovechkin/crosby/malkin kind of pick
