@kadburyk And he was trying to play I'VE GOT SPURS THAT JINGLE AND JANGE by GENE AUTRY,,,when he came upon his famous beat. That's in the history books
@kadburyk You won't find a song but somewhere in the write-ups about Bo,,it says he came up with his famous Beat,,trying to play I've got spurs that jingle and jangle by Gene Autry. In mine and Bos' days as kids Gene Autry was one of our western heros. Just read verything you can about BO and you'll come across it. Start with WikiPedia. First time I booked BO was in 1958 I had just started in radio shortly before. TheMojoMan*com my webpage
THIS IS THE MAN HERE! Of all the greats this is the one. Plays like....... Bo Diddley Dances like...........James Brown. Great artist too bad he is gone but so thankful for youtube so i can still see this great artist.
@Cyberella1000 There was this rockabilly singer doing his thing down in the Texas area,,after he saw BO DIDDLEY he threw away the geeky, nerdy glasses then got him some black hornrim glasses AND the rest is history. Bo Diddley insired many and one was that guy.
a true american treasure, under rated, one of the oringinals pioneers or rock & roll, guitar playing was 100 yrs ahead of his time.. those bo didley riffs are bo didley patents...just wish i had the chance to see him play live.... now he gone playing his music up in the sky... u rock bo...
@rocket8651 Where the hell you get "under rated"? He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Rhythm and Blues Foundation and a Grammy Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Some of the biggest acts of our time have quoted him as an influence, including Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and the Rolling Stones. He's also listed on the top 100 guitarists from Rolling Stone Magazine. Under rated? Where? When?
@rocket8651 Also, his music wasn't "100 yrs ahead of his time". His music was perfect for his time - just look at his audience reactions in the 50s and 60s and up until the day that he died. Rather, his music was timeLESS - it was perfect for his time, our time, and ALL time. Hell, the ONLY thing that you said that didn't make you sound stupid was that he was "one of the oringinal pioneers or rock & roll". That is true. Heck maybe you're just young - I grew up on this guy in the 60s.
I met Bo Diddley and I Told him, That was great You Did a Song with Your Own Name in the Title Bo Diddley, Then I said Thank God Britney Spears didn't do a Song called Britney Spears and He Laughed So Hard.
@redhead5150 I wish someone had a video where he LEANS SIDEWAYS and SORTA FORWARD in an almost IMPOSSIBLE POSITION and still be playing the guitar and standing at the same time.
Bo Diddley was my friend and I will miss him the rest of my life. When I was in RADIO,,BO was the very first recording star that I booked for one of my many many RECORD HOPS. 1958 TEEN DANCELAND (above the POST OFFICE) in WELLSVILLE,OHIO SO MANY MEMORIES OVER THE YEARS. Remember when you could watch a video without having to sit through commercials?
Remember when music videos were uploaded by users and not VEVO
Remember when all the info was to the right of the video?
Remember you could rate a video 1-5 stars?
Remember the famous yellow subscribe button?
Remember when the users controlled the site and not corporations?
Post this in every video and lets start a youtube revolution!
Thumbs up to keep at the top of the page!
