As a fellow (former) magician...figure out a way to do it while keeping both coins in the middle of your palms. Either that or do the moves the same all the time. IE: have the quarter on the side of your hand the first time you show it (before you do the slight). Everything has to look the same all the time or else people will suspect. Good luck :-)
