any suggestions?

@awsomeasim Are you sure you're using a 5.0.1 IPSW? and have you entered pwned DFU succesfully?

i don't know but for some reason i got an error 1600....

@LegendBiscuits yea I did, but still didn't work. I switched mu USB to 3.0 and used iReb instead to put it in DFU mode. i was able to restore it at the 3rd try. Thank GOD i got it this time, but thanx for the quick response.

@LegendBiscuits I just want to ask a question, my iphone 3G is already jailbroken, but i want to update its software to 5.0.1, may question is, will i lose all of my data if i followed everything you have showed in the Video?

@pagodnastring11 When your iPhone connects to the computer after the restore if you select to restore from a backup it will put all of your apps and data back on from the last time you synced it, just like it was before. Your cydia packages will be removed though, but you can back them up using apps like pkgbackup. So no you won't lose your data as long as you have synced with iTunes :)
