  • Of Course CCR version is better people, but Corrosion is one of my favorite bands and they do a great cover

  • hated the original, now hate it more should have left this alone

  • CCR is completely different, this is just classic COC. a 90's band obviously cant have the same sound as a late 60's band protesting the war in Nam. both great tunes, thumbs up.

  • @disturbedredneck99 i would give u a thumps up.. but then u asked for it....

  • They do an interesting rendition of it, that's to be sure. More refined than the original, I kinda like it.

  • You guys shut your whore mouths. Southern metal COC is just as good as SUPAR HXC CROSSOVER COC

  • I like COC but not this cover they did...it doesn't come up with the original CCR song at all.

  • The Circle Jerks did it SO much better. Guess COC was all washed up by the 90s anyhow.

  • this fucking sucks bigtime

  • @Qamila1 So I had never heard this before...and when it started, I was having this feeling and that feeling was "This fucking sucks bigtime" then I read your comment, and I had a great laugh. Thanks.

  • u should go home cut your nuts off put then in a jar and throw the jar off a bridge, cause u sir have no respect for good music.

  • Great Cover! Got nothing to say!

  • lol...love the band, love their take on this song. It takes balls that almost no person commenting on this video have to do something outside of what people think you "have" to do. Awesome!

  • I'm a C.O.C fan but wished they would have made it sound a lot more rock/metal than country.

  • @SuperCrudedude yeah. This is great, but compared to the rock solid original version,it doesn't sound "right"

  • @lucaslotti Yeah that's true.

  • Great Job Guys .... not trying to sound nearly like CCR better giving the song your own touch !

  • coc dont do nothin for this song. but hay! one bad one in a million aint bad

  • HELL YEA COC ROCKS FUCKERS!

  • @TomNirvana89 No doubt man.

  • Best cover of CCR ever!

  • CCR were defn from Berkeley - the "wrong side of the bay" during the 60s - made the mistake of signing w/ Fantasy (Zaentz Can't Dance) and got jobbed out of virtually all their CCR royalties. Polliwogs or Golliwogs (sic) was the name Fantasy stuck on them at the start. The Fogerty+Dead clips show what was needed to get the Dead out of their noodling mode.

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW

  • within acouple seconds of this i got a big smile on my face. usually i don't like when bands "take liberties" on covers but i recognize one when i hear it!

  • CCR are from OREGAN even more hippie than CA and more country than ANYWHERE in the South...90% of usa never been there...mountains, snow, volcanoes, no jobs just wilderness

  • @05EVORS theyre from CA. John Fogerty is from Berkeley.

  • @05EVORS well, having grown up in the south, you're half right. everybody from NY and NJ and all of those crap holes seem to like the weather down here. ALOT. and it pisses me off.

  • @05EVORS no dude ccr are from berkley CA

  • @05EVORS perhaps your talking about OREGON.

  • @05EVORS first off they originated in San Francisco. Secondly, Oregon is not full of hippies. Third, it's not all wilderness. Fourth it may be colder up here than most places, but it's not snowy everywhere, but there are mountains (not like full on mountains like St.Helens) all over. And as for volcanoes, I have no idea. But I consider Oregon to be the Scotland of the U.S. That's just my opinion though

  • @05EVORS lol, when I was a kid, I assumed CCR was from Louisiana or somewhere down south, I was shocked to discover they were from California. Where the fuck did you get Oregon from?

  • So far this is the best cover of this song i have found yet!

  • ohhh they are red white and blue! I love the original song of CCR, but this one send shivers thorugh my skin =)

  • 12 people aren't fortunate

  • This is the first thing I've heard CoC play that wasn't in a minor key.

  • Awesome cover! :)

  • Best cover of a classic song! But then COC is awesome!

  • Its not as good as the Creedence Clearwater Revival version, but its ok :)

  • Wow! A honky-tonk version of a Southern rock song done by a hardcore punk-metal band. And a pretty damn good job of it, too, I might add!

  • I love creedence, but this version is stone cold countryfied.First of all the diversity of COC is remarkable!& it gives us a fresh version of this to listen to!

  • don't think you listened to this twice? if you didn't like it!

  • Fucking idiots on youtube... Go home, go get a life for once and learn to appreciate good music.

  • @izgorcore you shouldn't tell other people to get a life, when you are doing THE EXACT SAME THING THAT EVERYONE ELSE DOES, that being sitting around on youtube being angry, at pretty much nothing.Besides, how do you know that everyone is not at home? I don't generally "youtube" when I'm out of my house, who does that?! Also, appreciating "good" music?! Do you like music that sounds bad to you? Why would anyone else?

  • @izgorcore Maybe you are such a musical genius so far ahead of your time, to, in fact, be THE eternal word on the subject! That everyone who does not hear the breathtaking and awe inspiring musical complexity to be found in "Fortunate Son" must have deaf ears to the true beauty that you have so diligently uncovered in the bowels of music! I'll bet that it's just that COC was having fun. I don't like it. So what? You do, so rock it! It's just a song man. cheers!

  • @Crotchboxer Maybe so! But the people will never get the fact thats a cover. A COVER to the original, thats what I'm talking about! Cheers!

  • yea not good

  • Woody Weatherman is the bomb!.. ^^

    Thanks for uploading!

  • ruint

  • They were obviously just having a good time with this session. You can feel it in the sound. I tend to get a smile on my face when I sing along with this version, while I also love the aggression of the original. I love both.

I won't lay the whole 'better/not better than the original' garbage people always say, because they are two very different versions.

  • Honestly, this doesn't sound good for them, in my opinion. I was hoping for a sped up version of the original, but it's still pretty decent.

  • CCR were from the Bay Area... A lot of people at the time wondered where they got their swamp sound from... Truth is they sort of created a whole new genre. Not quite classic rock, not southern rock, it was something quite new. In my opinion only a few of their songs have that swamp feel. The majority are just awesome rock´n´roll songs... And I agree, this is probably the best cover I have ever heard of this song and it does sound more southern than the original

  • Better than the original In my Opinion, But that's just me

  • its true, subs make everything sound amazin :)

  • they put the southern flair in this that the california based ccr could never have known... fucking AWESOME. Thank you so much for posting. Thank you

  • @paintedpirate California based? try Louisiana man they were Cajun not fagots! haha

  • @jeremyhall420 Most of them are from North Carolina.

  • Comment removed

  • @jeremyhall420 yeah cuz everyone in california is gay? Including Metallica and Slayer and megadeth and the billions of metal and rock bands that come from cali? And ofcourse 'faggets' deserve to be beaten right? Thats why everyone loves Rob Halford of Judas priest, one of the faggets who is heralded as the godfather of heavy metal. idiot, go stick your hillybilly bullshit up your ass while sucking off your cousins dick

  • Wounderful I love this song ^^

  • BAD ASS

  • Man, first time I heard this. It's not bad at all. It's got more of a laid back feel than the original, but it was a different time and a different sense of discontent back then.

  • Cool. :)

  • Great version! These guys are really good! CoC and CCR!

  • Awesome!!

    CCR and COC FTW!

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow the only word that i have is amazing

  • Holy Shit! They do a great fuckin cover and original as hell!

  • @nasicorinus Yeah, I don't know where I heard my info. You're right. I'm wrong.

Although, to prove us both slightly wrong, Pepper Keenan is from Oxford, Mississippi.

  • @residualbill he was born there but raised in new orleans,c.o.c. was a band from n.c. but pep didnt join till 1990

  • @ghostwhiskey Got it.

  • Comment removed

  • ...Although I wish they did it with the aggression of the original.

I hate to say, but this reminds me more of "The Beat Goes On" by Sonny and Cher. Just waitin to hear the "Ladi-dadi-dee...Ladi-dadi-dah".

    I still love it.

  • Glad to hear that ;) Cheers!

  • c.o.c. awesome
