I jumped out of a plane at 10,000 ft in a tandem skydive. But for some reason I could never do this, I'd be too scared.  What the heck, right?!? Maybe it's because when I jumped from the plane, I couldn't get any perspective on how high I really was. You can actually SEE the ground here; I think that's why I would be too scared?? I dunno; maybe I'm just not "wild n crazy" anymore....

You can't just buy a rig and a suit and throw yourself off a cliff. It's not that easy. Go to your local drop zone, register for your AFF, put about 200 skydives on your record. This will take thousands of dollars and a lot of time. Then, fly out to the BASE camp at the perrine bridge to schedule your BASE first jump course. Only then are you ready (and BARELY so) to throw yourself off a cliff.

Its about 1000meters. Around 20-25 sec free fall:-)

You weren't very far off the ground when you deployed your chute. Did you leave it to the very last moment or was that the right height at which to deploy the chute?

This is a normal altitude to deploy fore me. Some go lower and some are higher. It is no problem to go lower if I want to.Been there don that. But people who keep`s on pushing the limit does not last long in the sport;-)Do u skydive?

Actually, no, Idon't skydive. I did a couple of parachute jumps when I was younger (24yrs old) and have contemplated taking up skydiving. After watching other base jump vids and the height at which others deployed their chutes from high altitudes, it looked as your quite a low pull.
