hello i want to ask a question did u make this project in red laser and does it works ? and green laser , at what distance it may have and plz i want the schematic of this project and thank u
Green lasers are nice, but they have poor modulation, try it with a cheap red laser diode, the 5mw kind, you should be able to go into the mbps range.
Also, don't use op-amps, unless you know for a fact it's high speed, comparators are usually faster.
And, photo diodes need to be reverse biased to have a fast response time (connected in reverse to 12V, in series with a 1M resistor, for example), then you measure the current passing trough the diode in reverse biased.
very interesting how at fast baud rates the human eye can't detected the flicker. I wonder what the human's eye capture rate is. Did your experiement determine this? good stuff man, always a pleasure to watch your videos. filled with tons of great technical details.

@Daedronus Good advice, thanks. I'll retry this experiment sometime with these changes.

Sir, You have a great mind, thanks for sharing..
May I ask for a schematic diagram of this project?

@averagemale2000 I didn't really test for that, although that would make an interesting experiment. Thanks!
