@akrongoblin13 you don't always need too, but sometimes the bead doesnt completey seat and it will pop back off if you dont put some air in it.

@charley261 the hot air expands rapidly seating the tire, when it cools and you do not add more air it will create a vacuum and suck the tire flat, sometimes pulling it off the bead

you can fit up to a 215/40/16 with some fender rolling in the rear. you will need a 5mm spacer in the front if you are running a et15 wheel on an e30 bmw. i dont know about sizes or offsets for vw's and other cars.

I'm running 15et but you will need a 5mm spacer in the front. They fit perfect, no rubbing but my rear fenders are shaved.
