There is a difference between studying to be a journalist, and being a journalist. At this time, her ignorance seems to have only manifested itself to cloud her vision of what being a journalist really entails. But, that still isn't good. Not by the suburbs of the wildest imagination. If one thing is for sure, it is that we need less ignorant people around the world who always take the easy way out in order to give themselves a false sense of self-worth.

The fact that journalists deserve to die prematurely, at the very least, is the rule. Your sister has her work cut out for her to be the exception to the rule. And, if her genetics have anything to do with it, I don't think she has the slimmest of chances. She will become a worthless excuse for human life, as so many other journalists are. That is my prediction.

speaking as a journalist daniel pearls story broke my heart. The work we do is sometimes thankless but it takes its toll. The news is never about good things so you spend your day researching the horrible things people do to each other or go through. This just seems like the icing on an already crappy cake.
