this isn't a thriller - this is a political drama on the evils of rich and the innocence of the non-rich - hardly a honest moment in the entire thing - very spare in style - with long hollow silences symbolizing the empty life of the rich - the young housemaid at first accepted the husband into her bed - then eagerly welcomed it - so she's hardly the victim that the movie wants you to think she is
