  • @ 2:43.. THIS IS MOSTLY TRUE NOW IN 2012 OR SOMEWHAT CLOSE TO IT NOW MORE THAN EVER.

  • Seagal did blow up an oil refinery right before he gave this speech. I'm pretty sure that blowing up an oil refinery is bad for the environment.

  • Is any of what he says in 0:20 to 0:40 actually true?

  • @chezchez31

Yes. The alternative energy sources are suppressed because of the oil industry. They control everything and everyone. All because of the greed of man.

  • plz do watch this frnds appreciate the young talents they need ur feedback.

  • Beautiful, beautiful speech! This segment should be aired across the world, live, on national TV for all to hear and see for the benefit of humanity.

  • Thank you Steven, i love you man...

  • Great ending!

  • Annonymous brought me here

  • What a shame that the top comments are juvenile remarks.

It demonstrates what's really wrong with our world.

  • @LordDyhalto What's really wrong with this world is judgmental elitists like you. The comments are juvenile just because they are referencing South Park? Have you stopped to think all the "kids" that came here because of that show now have seen this speech?

No of course not, all you care about it insulting everybody you can.

  • @Proletariat12

Show me more of your fury.

  • BEST vid I've seen in weeks.

  • the Earth is are grandmaa true true very true

  • hollywood knew 17 years ago, what is wrong with the world, does it have to die for us to see that something is so very wrong ??

  • where's the respect line that's parodied in south park?

  • "So we can all do are part by voting for dems, in my humble opinion." - It is so stupid opinion, typical american brainwashed thinking.. You need something else, not demcrats, neither republicans. Why you always choose different flips of the same coin? It is so stupid. You need something totally new, some massive popular rally from grass-root level what would storm out on his way all those dems/reps. It is now time for changes, it is time for stop this multi-billionaire designed votingmachine.

  • This is just like Deus Ex: HR.

  • I LIKE THIS PART SO MUCH!

  • You can't ask the people to find new alternatives voluntarily, in some cases they have to be forced to think in new ways.

One way is to shut down the oil company by force in order to take a big leap in the development of new and more secure energy source.

Nuclear is one way, even with the risks it has, it is possible to prevent every possible catastrophe and that output is necessary as well for high speed trains, electric cars/buses and industry.

But they won't convert voluntarily, just face it!

  • @SAOrules

It's a bunch of hype, in a way, but alternatives to using noxious fuels, at least for cars, do exist. Read about the electric car.

As for the rest, yeah, we need oil for pretty much everything else, and it's up to us to find alternatives to that hence the whole biodegradable materials research being done right now.

  • @tschikir= Coward.

  • " 'cause we all live under the same sun, we all walk under the same moon, then why, why can't we live as one?"

  • Seagal deserves a prize for this scene!

  • @KungVanargand I agree:D

  • it may not all be real yet but a lot of it is like soler cars or cars that use bio fule that run off cooking oil and ethinal the stuff from corn and thats just to start but all this stuff is too new for the every day guy to be abil to buy but if enough of them get out there the price might go down.great speach something every one should hear i think

  • amazing speech, surprised it took me this long to find it. Nice one. Check out Zeitgeist Moving Forward guys. ;)

  • If we don't treat the internet with the RESPECT ...that it deserves, it could one day be gone forever!

  • @dorismcd1

    I agree.

  • @dorismcd1 staaaaan!

  • Ah well, nothing changed?

  • morons laugh at this video even 17 years later yet a lot of it is very accurate, sad to think of all the damage caused by man.

  • @1231238502 by the time these things will affect us, i'll be all dead by then

so who gives a shit, have fun bros. enjoy it while your here

  • History shows I'm right. It's a matter of time before the oil companies greed will be their undoing. The Roman empire became so big that eventually they could'nt control their territories and they collapsed. The oil empires is no different to this fact of history.

  • I know I'm right. In the coming decade you will see battery technology increase from running to hours to weeks.By 2034 when my retirement year would be I'll be willing to bet you'll see batteries running cars for hundreds of miles before charge up.It will be then the oil companies and gas stations will be bitten right up the ass for their greed. Then they'll cry and wonder why nobody is buying their gas.

  • @thoughtfinder True, we will find a way to store massive amounts of electricity in tiny devices no bigger then ipads. But the sad thing is the oil company's will kill the inventor and try to get rid of the evidence of it even existing.

  • @hectichorse Power is a good thing to have if it is used with wisdom and care. But when people run away with that power as did the Roman empire that power becomes an end unto itself. The oil companies are an empire unto themselves. But there power they have is turning to greed with high prices of oil.Eventually this will be an end unto itself for the oil empires because they are not using there power with wise wisdom.

  • @hectichorse History is full of these lesson of the abuse of power. This lesson will take place for the oil empires in are life time or in the next generation to come.Latest I've seen Nissan is behind production on the Leaf because of great order demands and the Chevy Volt is like this to.

  • @hectichorse Have you heard of Dr. Steven Greer? He is trying to get protections for inventors. Look him up here on youtube. He is an interesting human being. Cheers

  • If you seen the prices of gas lately as I just paid $3.15 a gallon today to fill my car up.The oild companies may have us by the balls now but in the long run this greed will come back to haunt and bite them in the ass.History shows us that when empires (as the oil industry now is an empire)take on more then they can bite it becomes their down fall.Remind you of the Roman empire and the Greek empire.

  • @thoughtfinder lol $3.15 here in scotland we pay near 11 dollars a gallon...and we are an oil producing /exporting country.

  • @789crafty the people in scotland are nicer people then they are in america, people in america are very arrogant and very materialistic.

  • Hey GOVERMENTS and CORPORATIONS and FAMILIES: Just keep making huge consumers, keep producing a new cellphone or laptop (most of their pieces are made out of petrol) every 15 days so people buy it and throw away the old one (producing even more garbage and waist). Keep buying a car for each family member and keep trowing away all the crap, piss, detergent and much more substances to rivers and lakes. The earth has warned us in many ways, soon there will be no more warnings.

  • We are NOT dealing with HU_mans...but with "V"...

  • Excellent! It's spreading to the masses. Real change is coming.

  • I remember hearing the various elements within the government tried to have this entire end part of the movie deleted because they didn't want this knowledge to get out.

I had heard about countless suppressed inventions from the time I was a kid decades ago. OMNI magazine used to talk about flashlight batteries from the early 1900's that could last 100 years, same for bulbs, electric cars getting hundreds of miles to a charge, etc. Even DNA was known since 1900 or a little later, not 1953.

  • Seagal does his part to lower co2 emissions by choking out his sex slaves.

  • "chuck norris wrote this" lolololol this movie will never be the same, because we need to learn to treat the global warming with THE RESPECT,...that it deserves! xD

  • I am no environmentalist, but Segal can sure convince anyone into believing what he is saying. Its actually pretty touching:)

  • @Vengeance4Me79 Jewish people and Arabic people worship the same G-D. We just have different interpretations of what he wants.

Are Arabs still told to get to heaven they must blow themselves up and kill Jewish people?

  • chuck norris wrote this.

  • Check out Stan Meyer's water car. 22 gallons from LA to New York. Too bad he was poisoned and his invention hidden.

  • SENT THIS VIDEO TO THE REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS

AND TELL EM YOU WILL BY A TOYOTA PRIUS (or Chevrolet Volt).

  • Hmm.... Sounds to be up to date.

Sux to see that Segal is playing in it. He is not driving a Prius...

  • I came to this video to have a laugh at Seagal. But this is pretty intense, and correct.

  • You know why?

Because we rather watch lady gaga's crap, while in the meantime people taking over!!!

    Seek KNOWLEDGE !!!

  • lol when he said alternative engines i thought he said alternative injuns as in indians

  • @Vengeance4Me79 You're retarded, there's not even that many Jews around. If they are in charge of air, food, policies to some extent, that's probably why things aren't WORSE than they actually are now. Why would anyone want to poison the world and have their children and childrens children suffer? Jewish people are very family based, everything revolves around G-D and family.

  • Down with the Corporations!

  • Stick it to BP, Steven!

  • The speech + the music go together very well, the message is so powerful...that movie will become a cult movie...Seagal land a warning in that supernatural movie, and he did the same in another major one, as an actor.." Fire down below " (Félix Enriquez Alcàla - 1997 )..That clever famous personnality is a model for people to follow, such a clever man..I dedicate my words to Jim ( xjjx2 ), who knew...PEACE.

  • The 80's warned us. But we never listened.

The 80s warned us about giant corporations, robots, corporate robots, robotic corporations, global warming, corrupt senators funding secret wars and all of that jive. Every 3rd movie out of the 80s had something to that effect in it.

Did we listen? Did we care? Either way we certainly didn't act.

  • @Vengeance4Me79 Yeah, that's right, blame everyone but yourself.

  • @Daaaaf= Yeah, what a fucking idiot. Illuminati this, Illuminati that. Always blaming some fairy tale organization for all the problems of the world. when retards like him are the problem. He's just a racist pig.

  • I just heard this speech on AMC, my uncle was watching this movie in the next room and he keeps his tv loud.

When I heard this outstanding speech, I immediately googled it so I could get it for my faves on youtube.

  • Seagal smashes parasitism and their evil agenda

  • 18/7/2010..over two years after this film was made...are we doing enough?

    kev UK

  • Author Fillibuster FTW!

  • Too bad we won't be around to make the greedy suffer the consequences they have sown.

  • i loved this movie. haven't seen it in years. touching and true speech.

  • The Best of Seagal.. :-D

  • This ain't no spam. It's about trying to be more self sufficient and getting away from these Oh so great death brokers who care so much about us. I'm getting one. Talk about CHEAP!

    TripleW(dot)halfwaterhalfgas(point)com/hydra(dot or point)php

They're lyrics to a song I'm thinking of writing. What do you think?

  • tripleW(dot)halfwaterhalfgas(dot)com/hydra(dot)php

  • this is life under the boot of corporate tyrannical rule instead of Government of the people by the people and for the people and put an end to corporate control of our nation. On this July 4 celebration lets declare our independence for Corporations and the grip of greed corruption and power they have over our lives. There is not greater threat to our democracy than the corporate iron fist clinching the throat of our people and the people of the world

  • Native American Prophecy speaks of Eris / Nibiru / Planet X and the coming flood, I think BP is a cover up to prevent mass panic of the super volcano the gulf will become when Nibiru passes closer

  • Fuck you BP

  • YouTube ... "BP Oil Spill. Top Secret. Hidden Facts and Truth!"

  • The truth is in the movies...that is how it is done in the matrix.

Everything said in this speech is true, time for people to wake up to it.

  • panacea university org FREE energy

  • I now have respect for Steven Seagal

  • Seagal for President

  • But if we dont treat the internet... With the RESPECCCCCCCCTTTTTTTT......... That it deserves.. it may be gone forever.

  • @RogueGank3r If THEY take away the 'internet' we will (the people) just have a countrywide LAN built/maintained by us. Your entire neighborhood could be linked in less than 20 minutes, 3 if everybody plugged up at the same time

  • yep, we still havent learned, we get what we deserve

  • what is this song called hilarious!

  • And the leel ones LMAO 3:46

  • Everyone should see this.

  • damn steven's droppin some knowledge "you wanna beat on a woman? beat on me asshole!"

  • @DoctorSess "Oh you a bad muthafuckah, huh? I know where you liiiiive you stupid muthafuckah!!!" Lol, sorry. Had to add on to your little Out For Justice there.

  • Jct: Yes, Stephen Seagal is well worth watching again and again. His all-time best "Above the Law" stunned me when he shouted "the banks own the CIA." First and only time that has ever been pointed out.

  • Fiction? Maybe, but a good, concise explanation for why the government and corporations (is there any difference?) wants us all running around scared of carbon dioxide. Folks, when Big Government and Big Biz started "having a conscience," we were fools to believe them.

  • "...and if we do so we're called conspiracy nuts and we're laughed at"

Yep. Pretty much. There are too many half truths and just plain lies in this one clip.

  • South Park xD

  • @Pentagon1311 that's what brought me here too.

We must treat South Park with the RESPECT! it deserves.

  • Global warming or no global warming, I'm sick of LOOKING AT the cosmetic grostesqueness caused by our pollutants and poisons. I can't fucking eat fish out of the Hudson River because GE decided to fill it with PCPs for decades. I have to research any property I want to buy to make sure it's not a bloody superfund site full of chemicals, radiation, or some other god awful pollutant.

  • one man can't do everything

and please don't talk about press gang's when you're advocating the position of the party that destroyed the middle class and turned americans into debters and indentured servants.

  • Indentured servants still, despite the government now being primarily democrat?

No argument here, but it seems a curious position.

  • The ship of state and it's policies take a substantial amount of time to render effects. Affect (democrat policy TODAY) does not equal effect (current social conditions). Republican policy has been anti-middle class ever since moderates like Rockefellar were drowned out by the extreme wing of the party. Reagan crushed the unions (at the time a good thing since the unions were out of control) but the long-term effect was that now most workers are paid and compensated very bad.

  • Good point.

Detroit is a stirring example of the good total union control can do. It also has the highest paid teachers and lowest housing cost!

...and is one of the most crime ridden places in the US, not to mention having the lowest graduation rate.

Governing via forced capitulation leads to people who want freedom moving elsewhere.

Unless you build a wall this always happens.

  • Yes, but like I said, extremism is bad, period. Unions being out of control -- bad. The current situation, however, where under 20% of workers are unionized, is also very bad. All the progressive reforms of the early 20th century, anti-trust legislation, worker's rights, fair compensation, etc. have been thrown out the window. Moderation is the key to a sustainable nation. Education is horrible in the US but what we need is private to COMPETE with not REPLACE (another extreme) public school

  • Extremism is bad.

That's why speeches like this one tick me off because they encourage blind action against perceived threats; erecting shadowy enemies to blame all problems on and motivating action through hate, not a desire to help.

I had enough of this kind of thing is high school and college.

  • The situation with the environment, likewise, most be moderated, not radically altered. This is why Seagal is correct that we need to create a body of individuals to make sure companies do what they're supposed to do instead of making these laws that they weasal their way out of. He isn't saying BAN factories, ban companies, compulsory green movement... he's saying we need to moderate and become responsible in our practices. Hardly "press ganging" as you put it earlier, dude.

  • So...we need to legislate (or have legislated by the powers that be) nursemaid officials to require business to implement ludicrous compensations, thus ensuring they go out of business.

Moderation is fine, but as soon as some one pulls out the law or a gun and demands things be in some fashion, then people are likely to consider it an infringement of rights.

Detroit began its deterioration with just such a committee as you suggest monitoring business.

  • Comment removed

  • That's a good thing. Too often at least where I live regulators tend to try and punish the 'villainous' corps, because as we all know from Hollywood if they go out of business a victory has been won for the people.

I appreciate that some people tackle the job as a profession, not holy and avenging mandate.

  • Comment removed

  • That's the way it should be; improving business by improving practice.

Too often things like Avatar perpetuate the idea that all business is evil and should be cut down.

  • It is being cut down.... our grandmother is Pissed and its time for a spanking. Mans laws will be pwnd by mother nature, and unfortunately if you live ON earth instead of WITH it. You are nothing more than dust in the wind DUDE! When your paper money means nothing we can get on with real living.

  • @bloodrunsclear

    Not business... more like GREED.

  • Look, while I appreciate the case study of Detroit, Detroit's problems go far beyond government interference. The city fathers' failed to diversify their economies just like all the rust belt cities like Schenectady, Buffalo, Syracuse, etc. and the result was catastrophic. Government policy and regulation is very widspread in New York City, Boston, and San Fransisco as well and these three are among the most prosperous cities on Earth. You can't isolate a single variable to explain a problem.

  • Comment removed

  • A singular isolation of a problem is inconclusive?

    Like, say, the Polar Icecaps?

  • Well I was talking more in terms of social science than natural science. Social science theory has the little nagging problem that it is impossible to really have experiments on human social behavior because it's very difficult to isolate variables. Scientists studying global warming have managed to learn a great deal, however, by using air trapped in glaciers (and plotting the latitude/longitude via magnetisms effects on the directions of trapped iron filings in the ice near the air pockets).

  • The reason that's important is because they have the ability to say how much carbon was in the air at what location near/far from the equator, and where glaciation was taking place X number of years ago (depending on the glacier's depth). The reason global warming is unprecedented is because glaciers are retreating further than has ever occurred on stationary continents.

  • @JustShoveJayOhBe 'one man can't do everything' - this seems like a reply, so I dont want to but-in, still I think one man could do everything, if he had enough knowledge and willpower.

  • @JustShoveJayOhBe the twin towers up until 1979 emptied their sewage directly into the Hudson.. no treatment whatsoever. FACT

  • I like the random person nodding in the front row.

Now that Avatar is out, new generations can be indoctrinated too :)

  • We all make fun of Seagal, justly so, but it is funny how his speech is so relevant today. The joke is on us, I guess.

  • @LeoNatan25

    Yeah, it is a joke.

Because the biggest problem in this world is now ecologists...

  • @bloodrunsclear

Let me guess, you are of these retards that think global warming and pollution is a myth...

  • Pollution no, and global warming no too.

On both accounts though, pollution is not planet threatening, and global warming is natural.

Are you one of those people who think Climategate was invented by an oil company?

  • @bloodrunsclear

It's not planet threatening, no, both are threatening to people. The planet has been long before animals were on it, and will be long after they are gone.

And what does "Climategate" prove exactly? Try reading something instead of listening to the idiots of Fox News.

  • And you would care because? I'm going to go out on a limb here but I think you might just consider mankind fairly expendable in the grand scheme of things, and also insignificant.

But even if you do care the solution is not to bankrupt the country and become communists, as the Copenhagen Cabal would have you believe.

Funny, I don't watch Fox News.

And it proves that scientists are deliberately cooking the books to make things appear worse...and people stupid with fear.

  • You are so ignorant, it's not funny anymore. If I didn't care, I wouldn't have posted what I did.

I'm sorry, "bankrupt a country"? Perhaps a shit stain like the US, the majority of which economy is so dependent on crap. Who cares about the US anyway. The dollar is not worth the paper it's printed on.

  • Its nice to just be able to call people ignorant and then ignroe them, isn't it? Less thinking that way.

I figured you didn't care about people in a grand sense (because that's popular) but feel people have to change (also popular).

And it is funny you claim to care about people, and then go on to say you hate the U.S.

But double standards are the best kind.

  • I don't care about the people you seem to want to keep their wealth, no.

  • Conditional tolerance :D

The watchword of the modern world.

And what would you have done exactly? Government action to force them to give away their money?

    Punish them for posterity?

  • They can keep their money, I don't care. What I do care is them lobbying against progress in the interest of making more money.

  • Against progress?

You mean lobbying against paranoid, hasty actions involving billions of dollars based on faulty data?

  • Hey Bloodrunsclear. No offense, but you have been listening to way too much Rush Limbaugh. I'm conservative also, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop loving the delicate ecosystem I live in. Open your eyes and ears, and be a free thinker. Rush isn't always right.

  • I don't listen to radio, I read dissertations. Specifically from the scientists that are being ignored by the environmental elite.

I love people more then I love the ecosystem, thanks, and if more of them have to suffer because of green guilt, then I'm opposed to its cause.

Have you considered how close minded and imprisoned hardcore environmentalism is?

    Ralph isn't always right.

  • bloodrunsclear, I actually agree with that. You're right about how close minded environmentalists can be. And there are too many laws. But lets get real. If you think what we do doesn't effect the environment negatively, you are nuts. And quite frankly, a little bit brain washed. I don't even know where to begin arguing but, just have your liver checked for starters.

  • Brainwashed?

If I was brainwashed in the usual way I would feel inclined to kill my dog because of his carbon footprint. Nope, my consideration of mankind doing mitigable damage and not the apocalyptic destruction Steaven here totes was based originally on teen rebelliousness to escape an iron clad paranoia in my early public education, and thence on private research.

I'm not fond of alcohol by the by.

If you think the environment gives a damn about mankind, then consider yourself too.

  • Please, you don't read dissertations. If you did read disseratations, you would know that the vast majority of them are overly reliant on theory, use second hand data (PHD candidates don't often win longitudinal grants, core sample expedition funds, etc.), or are just amaturish and wrong. Marginalized research in academia is usually marginalized for a reason.

  • That's a good point.

Much like the health care bill, you should NOT question Global Warming. If you do so, how can the government pay the billions required to fix a problem threatening imminent world destruction?

Best to listen to the men in white coats. They always know more then you do, especially as to what you should do with your money.

  • You know, I heard the original version of this speech was ten minutes long. TEN MINUTES.

  • true that steven

  • Think about this, what harm can it do for corporations, people and cultures to change, to stop polluting the Earth?

If the folks who say global warming are right, then perhaps we've saved ourselves.

If they are wrong, what harm can be done by polluting less - cleaner water to drink, cleaner air to breathe? Where's the harm in that?

  • I used to work for my state's environmental conservation agency -- our job was primarily to license pollution, not to stop it or treat it's affects.

  • but if we dont, treat the internet, with the RESPECT!!!... that it deserves, it one day may be gone forever

  • Perfect Randy Marsh quote timing.

  • I'll like to see the face of a judge or policeman face or any body who represents the law when SS says at 1:40 ha!,unfortunately what he said is precious!!.

  • Profit.. Pff. What good does it to earn a lot of money if that means you're destroying a bit of the world in the process? If the pollution continues, who knows when or where it will end? By then, it will probably be too late.

We need to DO SOMETHING! This is only a fraction of what's really going on. Day by day, we (the humans) are destroying a piece of nature, a piece of the world. It has to stop, and we have to do something!

  • Besides, what profit is there when you're destroying natural resources that provide the best profit in the first place. "Earth is our grandma"

  • business is necessary for innovation and survival in the modern world. it's when business gets in the way of progress, that it must be regulated just enough to stop being corrupt and prevent an economic or ecological meltdown. business profit is supposed to benefit the society as a whole by cycling back into the system, when it doesn't is when the bad stuff happens. I support capitalism because business must have incentives but if business is abusive, it's defeating it's own purpose of existing.

  • STEVE! STEVE! STEVE! STEVE!

  • "humyn" is always a hilarious word to say

  • holy shit this movie actually makes sense. It sucks the truth had to be told by mr seagal!

  • He sounds like fucking Zoolander

  • Inspirational, but a bit on the long side.

  • <3 Seagal & <3 our earth that is dying

  • the think botthers me is that we take care of our planet .... - but only in the material level.

  • We have to hope the revolution happens soon.

It has to be Global - lets just agree to some simple things, we all agree polluting our home and food is a dumbshit idea. That it is a basic right to food, health care, shelter, education - many things

the age of profit is dead

  • Unfortunately we don't all agree that polluting our planet is a bad idea - you have the real nuts who say only 'god' will destroy Earth and others who think they know better than the leading experts and scientists

And it is more than a right - it is common decency, it is our basic humanity in my opinion that should drive us to ensure that everyone has access to food, health care et al

We shouldn't labour or toil as we do, we should work together to benefit us all and free up our time, simple

  • Great and true words, but Sagal is a poor messenger. Anyone can read the words for pay.

  • Well I do agree with the message but not the person hiring to speak.

  • everyone should post this on their myspace pages and facebook pages...along w/others like it..I reccomend searching on here for:

"GOOD Magazine: Skid Row Part 2: Kids"

    "L-Curve"(contrasting w/info on others)

    "John Q clip 1987"

"Former LA Police Officer Mike Ruppert Confronts John Deutch"

That is if you live n the U.S. we need REAL change-not just nice talk from diversion tactic empty speaches. All these problems can & should b addressed & handled-it'd be more simple than we're lead to believe

  • All true, excellent speech

  • Not a bad finale speech for an unbelievably bad film
