@Artaaaani you know what i read from internet... i suare its true. joseph mallozi is curently working on another project, but when someone asked him on 2 jan 2012 about sg, he said that stargate is curently on indifenite hiatus. that means that the production has a break, not end forever. it is this year when the producer has to decide what to do with stargate, but since mgm has recently recived over 500 mil $ , i think sgu may return in a matter of years, yes

@5501055001 I hope. But I doubt it because although It was the most amazing show, the best of the franchise, It only got a 1 million viewers for most of it's second season. Although I do agree in the future stargate will return. I hope they continue it from it's current incarnation and not remake it. But who knows.

SGU was going to be the crown jewel of the Stargate franchise and if the execs at SyFy had just taken the bold step of giving SGU a third season it could have ended on a very high and emotional note. Thanks to their stupidity, one of science fictions greatest tributes to televised science fiction will never have it's story told.

I hope people realise that they cancelled Atlantis for Universe, and promised direct to DVDS to continue SG1 & Atlantis. I bought all the Atlantis DVD's to support the show. Atlantis had very high ratings, but the producers wanted2focus on a younger audience, so they cancelled it. Due2this happening, no 1 wanted to watch SGU, or buy the dvds. They knew that it wont help. Look what happened, the Series was cancelled. AND! their promised movies...what happened? I watched SGU last week...not bad

Syfy wanted to do SGU for a long time and gave them the go ahead to do it the next year. Wright had a plan to wrap up SGA with a movie with SGU running aside.

After ten years of watching the franchise I'm officially done with tying myself to a show. So many shows that I've loved have been made puppets or killed prematurely by a ruthless and profit driven enterprise of TV. They've auctioned off the sets and props for SGA and SGU, and watching the ending of this show tells me that this is the end of Stargate as we know it. The glimmer that was Destiny, emerging from the blackness of space in the premiere has dimmed its lights and shimmered into black.

It just struck me why I like this song so much. Reminds me of Prelude, the Final Fantasy song. I thought it was such a fitting song for the end of the show, as we saw Destiny disappear into the depths of the universe, never to return, with all its passengers suspended in time forever. So sad.
