S8 wasn't that great compared to previous ones, but S9 was very good. S4 really put Seinfeld on the map with masterpiece-episodes. LD is an absolute genious and I'm very glad he hooked up with Jerry to create the most brilliant sitcom ever made.

I think the seasons after David left were the best, especially 9, when the stories got zany, over the top, almost self parody, it was surreal and funny as fuck.

@let88it88be Yeah it's definitely him. Although he didn't work on the show for seasons 8 and 9 he came back and wrote the finale. And as you can see he got into the show one last time.

well.. it does seem like a strange way to end a show... have all the characters end up in jail. didn't really follow the tone of the show. The ending on curb was much better.

Are they nuts? The last 2 seasons after Larry David left were by far the worst. Larry David was "Seinfeld" and when he left they just rode the momentum he had created. Without Larry David that show never gets picked up for a second season and people might never have heard of Jerry Seinfeld. I think the Jason Alexander and Michael Richards would have got on another show but Julia Dreyfuss is waiting tables without Larry David. She should thank him every night before she goes to bed.

Are you for real? Some of the best episodes were in seasons 8 and 9 when Larry wasn't there.... Frogger, Chicken Roaster, The Merv Griffin show... they were some of the best of the series.

those episodes are just like any other sitcom -a crazy plot that has nothing to do with reality. The charm of the early episodes is that the stuff could actually happen to you.
