  • Thank you, as I listen, I can hear/see, my mother and granny, on the front porch singing at their regular music gatherings,Southern ice tea,banana pudding, and for sure fried chicken, okra,butter beans,tomatoes,and black eyed peas, on tables under the big chinaberry tree in the front yard. My oh my we were dirt poor , but rich in spirit.The Carter Family was a favorite,"Gospil- Ship" Oh yes, "Will The Circle Be Unbroken"! Every one got in on that .They are all gone now,yet they remain.
