Well I haven't owned this vehicle for over a year now. Sold all of that shit a long time ago and moved on to finer things. It was just something that I built myself. I'll put new vids up of my 18" FI SSD subwoofer I have in a 1980 Cutlass Supreme stay tuned.
THX for putin ur 18''FI SSD in a old 80's car.....because cars withs systems look better to me slamming out of a CHEVY CAPRICE CLASSIC or any type of GRANDMA car from the 80's.......FUCK NEW CARS
i have one PowerBass 15" in a 2.25 cu ft ported box. the port is 3"dia and about 11 in long. powered by a 800 watt mono amp, full gain. This thing SLAMS HARD. paid $25 each for a pair of them off ebay. they out pound a lot of 2-12" systems in my town.
so...overall i would rate them as an insane *bang* for your buck. NO joke...it hits clean, and hits hard...all day long. No mercy on this sub and it has been going strong for about 5 months.
ok im looking for some help with a box design for 6 12's and i cant wall them so should i face them up forward or back or any other possible way pm me with suggestions. thx
The box was sealed. I no longer own the truck or the subwoofers, but that model of Powerbass subwoofers were only made for sealed, but the higher end Powerbass Extreme subs are made specifically for big ported boxes tuned from 55 hz. to 32 hz.
Very nice sustem, I am just getting into this area, I have the basic, two 12's in a honda right now, but will add on gradually. What makes for better sound ported or sealed?
Thanks. Depending on your subwoofer and size. Ported is good if you want really low bass that moves alot of air. Sealed is for when you want that tight bass that hits all notes. It's hard to say I like both. Ported with 15" and 18" subwoofers has to be my favorite.
dude i like the system, but come onn that was a pretty boring video
