well i live in the U.S and my friend moved to spain and we want to make a video together and sing but she sings the girl part and i sing the guy part well how can i put her video and my video side by side in one video ? PLEASE HELP

imovie comes free on a mac when you get it. or, you can buy iLife, which is a package of 4 programsd for $79. iLife has iMovie. iMovie 9 is even better, this demo was with an earlier version. iMovie 9 is totally awesome.

Slow motion and fast motion are techniques added in editing. It takes a fairly sophisticated editing program to do slow mo or fast motion. Squeaky voices can be done by speeding up the audio. To make it look really fast, you need to speed it up 10 times or more. So this means a minute's worth of real time video would only be 6 seconds of fast motion. so it takes a lot of video to do fast motion.

I think one of the hardest things about video editing is learning how all the windows function independently and together as a whole.

Basically, editing is selecting the clips you want and placing them in the timeline in an order you like. The time line is your story.
