20 years ago I drove a girl home from work. She was as cute as hell... I happen to have a cassete of the Smiths plating in my car without knowing she loved them too. We where singing along on the way home back then and up until now. Yeap...We married years later. We absolutely love Morrisey/ for this miracle. One thing I'm sure... if a decker bus crashes in to us, I'll be really happy to die beside my babe. . "To me she is, a work of Art". Love you Mich.
I saw Morrissey (on this particular tour if memory serves) in Royal Oak, Michigan. He did all of his classics (Smiths & Morrissey) and the crowd was so silent and unmotivated that it totally rained on what should have been an excellent evening.
I wish I was in Israel for this show! Now this what a Morrissey show is all about...energy, enthusiasm, camaraderie, and most of all...truly enjoying the music! :)
Thanks for the clip - the sound isn't the best (understandably), but the atmosphere you've captured is incredible - I've never seen better. If a clip can convey this, what must it have been like being there! Seems like Israelis are great music fans!
that was the only song where they sang this loud. and that's because it was the only encore and the song that every single person in the crowd was waiting for the most (hence the sign he holds up, if you've noticed). it was a great show
Yes I did notice the sign. Glad you enjoyed the show. I'm waiting for an autographed copy of his next album because of a favour I did for him. Shalom.
You can listen to Morrissey without a crowd, if you search hard enough he has a few CDs out that are worth a listen.
If I went to a gig where the audience were silent it'd be awful - and I can all but be sure that Morrissey would hate it too (as would any band/singer/artist).
i've seen Morrissey maybe 25 times, and I have to say, maybe with the exception of a gig at the Ambassadors in Dublin before he released you are the quarry - when was that - 2003, October maybe - he looked like he enjoyed himself more than ever. The crowd were fantastic, much warmer than any I have seen in the UK or Ireland, generally grateful to Morrissey for having come to Israel. Really a great show. I'm sure he played There is a Light as a special treat - he's not been playing it this year.
For all the critics, the fact Morrissey is one of the few artists that willingly travels to places like Israel and performs shows, is a solid testament to the man himself... and to think some people once called him racist...
I'm not going on about his lyrics my friend. It's some ambiguous comments he's made in interviews over here. FYI I don't think he's a racist but just a realist. He merely stated in NME recently that England has lost it's identity and the press jumped on him for making racist remarks. I and many others understood him perfectly well. Shalom.

Hello. This was indeed an amazing show and an unforgettable night. I am the one responsible for writing the famous sign which led Moz to sing the Smiths most classic tune. I wish to believe that the sign made many people happy yesterday as Moz does not play this song anymore in his gigs.
I will never forget yesterday and Morrissey is my light that will never go out !
I had two hopes for last night's concert: stop me and there's a light. after the first wish came true halfway threw the show, I didn't believe the second would too. I saw the sign in the begining of the evening and laughed in my heart at it - but tnx for whoever brought it, surely it brought us the light!
ha why do I get emotional when i hear this song? especially with my brothers and sisters singing along? because im a quessie :(

for people saying they would wish the crowd would be quiet so you can hear him sing...
are you mental? it gave me goosebumps hearing everyone sing the words back to him.
When i got to a gig theres nothing better to me than hearing 10,000 people sing the words.

Because he says ambiguous things that can easily be depicted as racist. Maybe you should get to know the genius that is Morrissey better.

I do know the genius that is Morrissey! I was merely pointing out something. Anybody can interpret lyrics anyway they want.

what an unforgetable night it was.
It started great and continuned maybe too cheerful. and then came the 4 A's:
1.please please please (my only wish)
2.life is a pigsty
3.how soon is now
and last one
4. there is a lisht that never goes out
left me stunned.
"he stole all hearts away". indeed.
