  • William green is awesome! he was at the alnighter doing awesome stuff! I got the Frying pan he bent into a burrito! XD

  • That was Kenny Albert on the call :D

  • he came to MY school today.......HE IS HECKA STRONG

  • he came to my school today, this guy is huge.

  • STEELERS,BROWNS,BENGALS SUCK! THAT CAN ONLY MEAN ONE THING! RAVENS WIN AFC NORTH.

  • i was there for my 19th birthday and it was the best one of the 27 ive had...the complete joy on browns fans faces and complete strangers hugging each other after that goal line stand against that nig vick...fucking priceless

  • probably one of the greatest play in browns history

  • he could have been something great in cleveland if we had a line then

  • Personal issues. He could have been a good running back. It's a shame.

  • What happened to Green, its like one day he was just gone. And Tim Couch has been out of the NFL for a while too. Wow I cant believe the Browns have been back for over ten years, crazy.

  • the browns had so many nice pickups with tim couch and willy green. but the problem is while they have first round caliber talent at the specialty positions, their offensive line was full of scrubs. if you put tim couch and willy green in the backfield with the line the browns have today,.. thats a consistent playoff caliber team.

  • ELWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is one of my buddies!

  • He went to my school and talked to us and i got his bat autographed

  • @SolderScream362 Lol. Me, too. With the Strength Team, right?

  • he came to my school today and he talked 2 us

  • awesome run

  • i miss those days

  • he was a pot head

  • Who was the QB in this game, anyone know?

  • Kelly holcomb, back up for Tim couch.

  • He could have been a good, to a great Running back with a good line!

  • that is if he quit drinking, then he would have actually stayed in the nfl.

  • Hey did u see who won the superbowl?! Lol!

  • ya, that was a fucken terrific first round draft pick

  • Fuck you, EATPROTEIN. You are a fucking cock sucking mother fucker. I hope you get rammed in the ass and die of AIDS. William Green is a mother fucking legend. This game was the highlight of my life. I am a handicapped midget who never gets out of the house. How dare you take a shit on my memories. I hope a giant gay man with a mustache rapes your dick tonight.

  • I live for anger and frustration. Combat is where we'l be. Because when you have the power to make the earth shake, and the sky rumble....and you can feel the injection of the warrior from the gods in the heavens above.....Then God only knows....I am totally out of control!

  • you smoked yourself retarded, willy green was a legendary fumbler, anyone on this team is destined for mediocraty

  • Cleveland Browns Worldwide.

    Amherst, OH chapter checking in.

  • If (which is a big IF) the steelers have more fans it is only because of the front runners. You know, the same idiots who ran around with Giants jerseys on prior to last football season. The Browns backers organization is global too. Don't get me wrong, the steelers have a great fan base as well as the packers. But as far as loyalty, no one can touch the browns fans. Sorry

  • @biglar831, really cause most of the time, cleveland fans have bags over their heads, so thats not loyalty at all.......... before the steelers won in 0, they went 26 years without winning and fans didnt show up with bags over their heads......... so yeah Cleveland does not have the most loyal fans, please dude

  • @biglar831...i would have to disagree..I mean the steelers fans have been loyal when they were a JOKE...beyond a joke before the 70's dynasty days and then the 20 odd some years after the 70's when they were descent but not great.... until just recently...just an opinion thought, just like yours

  • where is he now ? dont know who was worst : art - bill - butch

  • Cleveland Browns have the most loyal fans in the NFL and have one of the biggest fan bases around the world. GOOOO BROWNS!!

  • not even close to one of the biggest

  • his name is nflsmackdown for a reason, so after a couple years he can go root for another team and not have to change his youtube name to pigsburghsux.

you gotta love the way ppl from there act, they love there steelers, then a good portion love the indians(when they're good) and you would swear they grew up on 66th and lexington the way they root for the cavs. they'd kill their own mothers if it meant their new one got them a sega dreamcast

  • What about the defensive stand at th end of the game? The goal line stand that about brought the stadium down. I was watching here in Phoenix.....on DirecTV. When the defense stuffed the Falcons at the goal line, I swear the roar could've made the Stadium shake.

  • i remember that and that was 1 of my top ten browns moments! we almost beat pittsburgh in first round of playoffs

  • These Clowns cannot even keep the same players on their team. What is the direction of this team? Who is their coach? GM, owner? This team has to be even more lowly than Lions.

  • Take the tags off your brand new jersey you fucking front runner. Your so jealous of the Browns fan base you have to attack our team. Are you a pirates fan too? Probably not because they have SUCKED for YEARS! It's real hard to root for a winner. Give it a year or two and you and the rest of you hillbillies will run back into your trailers and never be seen again. Fuck you and fuck the steelers.

  • i hate frontrunners

  • i agree with nflsmackdown.... they may not be lower than the lions but definately 2nd..... btw NOBODY in pittsburgh is jealous of clevelands fan base. Lmfao there is like 90% Steelers fans attending when they play at heinz field and like 50% steelers fans when they play in cleveland.

  • the thing is tho your fans in pissburgh wont be there when the team is bad in cleveland if were 0-15 going into that last week that stadium will still be sold out true football fans in cleveland. true frontrunners in pissburgh.

  • really? because they have sold out every game in the last 35 years. and the steelers werent even good in the 80's or part of the 90's and the first couple years of the 2000's...

and you dont need to worry about the steelers being bad anytime soon.... not when they have 2 pathetic teams in the division like the browns and bengals.

  • there is a diff between being sold out and having the fans actually show up to the games. hell i bet every team is sold out right now well maybe except the lions but sure the tix may be sold out but those ugly ass yellow seats were empty. like cock roaches only come out when the teams good.

  • actually the steelers and the packers have been sold out the most consecutive games. not the browns. Nobody has the right to hate on the steelers fanbase, because the steelers fanbase is the most widespread in the world. When i was in pittsburgh last season at one game a met a guy from Singapore at the game. He traveled from SINGAPORE to pittsburgh. Thats what kind of fans we have. I've also seen away games where steelers fans out number the other team by 20%

Browns fans are all in cleveland.

  • like i said yea the tix may be sold out thats all thats counts toward a sell out not buts in the seats, and all browns fans are from cleveland i dont live in cleveland we got browns backers in south africa we have a WORLDWIDE browns backers club you fuckin dickhead. game set match keep ther rest of your uninformed comments to yourself. matter fact throw out your computer you aint allowed to use it anymore.

  • If you honestly think that there are more browns fans in the world than steelers fans your just a complete idiot... thats all there is to it.

go to some sites and look up the population of browns fans compared to steelers... you'll find the Cowboys are the #1 most fans in the U.S. and the Steelers are #2... browns are probably sitting in the bottom half because only locals like them.

  • "Browns fans are all in Cleveland."----That is the most false statement ever. Ever heard of Browns Backers Worldwide? The largest fan organization in the world in any sport with the most members than any other team in any other sport.

  • "MY ASS""

Try not speaking out of it and provide evidence instead of claims.

    Credibility = Respect

  • @Hawkboy77 Wow how misinformed are you

  • @DougMcHead Remember last year in cleveland vs the ravens the fucking fanbase boycotted the first half? LOL. Way to support the team.... Steelers have sold out every game in Heinz Field and Three Rivers Stadium. They have the best travelling fanbase by far.... Superbowl XL 85% Steelers fans 15% Seahawks fans. They take over stadiums. The fucking browns haven't gained any fans since Jim Brown was playing. Its just the Cleveland area and families from there. Steelers are worldwide.

  • @Hawkboy77 Are you so delusional you don't read anything factual? The Cleveland Browns have the largest worldwide fan base of any individual American football team or just about any American sports team period. The boycott of the first half of that game was to show management we are tired of losing and are fed up with roster dumps and things like that. The Steelers seem to have a lot of fair weather fans these day. When the Steelers suck this year see how many stay next year. Then you can talk

  • @DougMcHead I'm laughing too fucking hard to even type right now. I went to the Steelers vs Browns game in pittsburgh back in '07 and i saw MAYBE 25 browns fans. The steelers fans travel. The browns dont have shit outside of cleveland and you know it. All the old Jim Brown fans are old as fuck and watch games from their couch. Cleveland Browns are a fucking joke.

  • @Hawkboy77 Okay now I am going to stop arguing with you. You obviously only watch crap coming out of Shitsburgh You really should educate yourself to see that the Cleveland Browns do indeed have the largest fan base of just about any pro sports team around the world. Until you can prove me different your nothing but a jackoff who likes to toot his own shit horn.

  • @DougMcHead They aren't popular enough to have the largest fanbase of any pro sports team. Yankees Cowboys Steelers Lakers. those teams have the most fans by far. browns have a local fanbase. Im from iowa and ive never met a browns fan from around here. what happened to that worldwide fanbase? browns dont get any attention and havent since the early days of the NFL. plus they were an expansion team in 1998 LOL. Do they have the most LOYAL fans? Maybe. But the most fans worldwide? Thats comical.

  • @Hawkboy77 Actually you're wrong there buddy, i work for a local station here called STO ( SportsTimeOhio) and the Browns fan base is very large, and whats ironic is we had a guy from Redoak,Iowa call in today and say he was a diehard Browns fan, we have people from Florida, Texas, California, even fans overseas that send emails and call us talking about how much they love the Browns, everybody knows Shitsburgh fans our bandwagon, so theres really no argument to be made lol

  • @footballplaya77 I was just at the Steelers vs Pats game yesterday. met ppl from New Mexico, California, Florida, Singapore, Mexico, NY, Arizona, and I'm from Iowa. If there are any Browns fans left outside of Cleveland, that means they either have some sort of association with the city (family, used to live there, friends, etc) or they just like them from way back in the day when they werent terrible. Cleveland hasnt gained any fans since it came back as an expansion team. Sorry. STEELER NATION

  • the Steelers and Packers may have more fans but the Browns backers club has chapters in all 50 states. and don't forget the Browns were GONE for 3 years!!

  • @asstcommish I am a member living in Henderson, NV now

  • ha yeah i luved this guy, we had no line and he tore it up

  • too bad u dont have the browns radio announcer, jim donovan's call from this game, where he actually was screaming RUN WILLIAM RUN! lmao

  • I have it now. Someone else has upped this vid with Donovan's call. Classic. :)

  • @308Joker where is it?

  • @Undertaker331 Honestly, that's the only reason why I clicked this video was to hear Jim Donovan's call. I remember this game like it was yesterday.

  • Falcons bring back those uniforms

  • I TOO WAS AT THIS GAME!!!!!.... It was my first non-steelers game that i had gone to for the brownies.

  • i was at this game with my dad when I was a 12 year old... still probably the best moment of my sports life

    amazing

    oh, what could have been

  • I still have a Orange William Green Jersey in my closet, Browns bring back the White facemask, and orange pants!

  • oldd willieee

  • I remember this play like it was yesterday, we cleveland fans had been through hell and thi splay was the longest running play all year.. and the hairs on the neck stood up when he broke it loose. Reminded me the good ol days when Kevin Mack and Ernest Byner ran the football

  • whatever happen to this guy he was going to be a beast

  • He was terrible. I'm a Browns fan, so don't take this the wrong way, but William Green had a lot of trouble moving laterally and finding holes. However, I always blame the lack of an offensive line for a team's lack of success.

  • truly one of the great highlights of my life as a browns fan. willie just blew up in the second half of that year and guided the browns to the playoffs. it's a shame things ended up the way they did with him, but at that point, on that day, it seemed like we finally had our horse to bring the browns back to prominence. RUN WILLIE RUN!!!

  • What was that... 10 seconds?

  • I remember wathcing this live when I was 8! I've been looking for this video for a long time. Thank you so much for putting this up. Classic Browns victory.

  • Haha that year was great for Ohio. Buckeyes eventually go on to win the National Championship, and the Browns nearly beat Pittsburgh that week in Round 1 of the playoffs. I won't forget any of those memories, I was.... 15

  • The Greatest Cleveland Browns Day Of My Life, Thank You William Green, Go Browns.

  • i'm an eagles fan, but you have to admit, that was awesome

  • On 2nd down, they'll give it to Green. Green studder steps he through! First down FORTY! FORTY-FIVE! FIFTY! FORTY-FIVE FORTY! RUN WILLIAM RUN! TWENTY! FIFTEEN! TEN! FIVE! TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!! 64 yards and the rookie from Boston College, he was an inch away from busting one all day Doug and he just did it. Jim Donovan's radio call i believe. correct me if im wrong about this.

  • LOVE THIS! Jim Donovan got me so pumped on that radio broadcast. "RUN WILLIAM RUN!"

  • wow this still gets me so fired up everytime i watch it. someone needs to take this video and dub in the Donovan "RUN WILLIAM RUN" call

  • It is upped somewhere on youtube. Not sure what the url is. I have dubbed it, but I don't bother to upload here....would hate to have to bother the content police. :p

  • hey i remember this!!

  • Green had all the potential in the world, games like this that made U think Butch Davis knew what he wuz doing in the Draft. Unfortunately, Green's OFF-the-Field antics, esp the Riff w/ Kevin Johnson WR led to his personal probs. At the time, had Green been drafted on a better team, with a Solid Fullback & Offensive Line he'd been a Super Star... shame these guys career's are sooo short lived.

  • Some people wonder why fans stay loyal to teams and this is one of those moments why I stick with the Browns. It's mundane when you root for a good team all the time but that season was something special.

  • i remember watchin that live and goin crazy bout the playoffs... man what happended to william, he's done

  • no matter what you say about him

This run put the beloved Browns in the playoffs (helped by a BIG goal line stand at the end of the game)

  • right you are jme8953...

  • man, butch davis passed up on cliton portis to take william green. thank god Phil Savage knows what he's doing!

  • Put Portis's injury prone ass behind that line and he would have been DOA. William would be 10X the runner he was if he had the current browns line back then.

  • dude now we hav "THE" jamal lewis i rather hav him over portis anyday

  • Falcons fan here.I know we made the Playoffs and Upset Green Bay.This game we shoulda Won.

If anyone has The Game Avaliable. Please let me know. Thanks

  • sweet video.

  • i remember this!

  • you should hear him do indians games, needs more work

  • You are a moron

  • I second that.

  • the guy is terrible, he screws up just about every important call, and doesn't even have a good broadcasting voice.

  • May I ask, what team has a better guy?

  • wow i loved that play and season. funny enough im acutually wearing a green jersey that i dug at of my closet just today lol. but lets face it william green stinks

  • i was there

  • ill always remember that play

  • can't say I like this guy better than the guy who wears that number now.

  • I remember this day, I was the happiest Browns fan ever. Thank you William Green for the good memories.

  • Damn, Green had all the physical talent you could hope for. I was at this game, and it's without a doubt the most exciting moment since the return. It felt like the good times at Municipal Stadium. So William, if you see this video, thank you.

  • dude ive been looking for this forever

  • Glad to oblige. If you have the radio call of "Run William Run!!", I'd sure appreciate a share.
