Steven Hawking rolled into a Dog Cheese show one night and his computer voice said, "figuring out all these different time signatures are giving me, yes me, Stephen F'ing Hawking, a headache!"
@SrBridges Hell yes!! it is addictive. I cannot stop watching it for 3 solid days straight now and nothing but this killer jam tune by the King of Tone.. Michael Landau
In 84-85 I was 11 and I befriended Vinnie Colaiuta (somehow) at a NAMM show. Sum of my best memories ever were having 2 take a nap (because they usually played the Baked Potato on Sundays and I lived in OC and had school the next morning) and my Dad would drive me up 2 watch/hear Vinnie. He would get us in and save a table close 2 the drums. It effected me DEEPLY (ESPECIALLY at that age) 2 witness those Dog Cheese shows (tons of em) and I'm forever thankful 2 Vinnie for it. LOVE Vinnie!
@joshfreese ha ha I just read this thinking wow lucky guy I wonder what he's doing now then read the name :o) I personally can not stop listing to this Vinnie is the reason I play drums. also Keep up the amazing work Mr Freese I loved you're playing on Blues Saracenos album :o)
I saw them live as well. Best band ever period. Shredding the place. I love Michael Landau and Vinnie is just toying with this pocket!! Genius! Thanks son much for posting!!!

GOD GEESE!!! This song is so ADDICTIVE!!!
That's "The Mike Landau Sound". UNIQUE! Is like a Lukather-Van Halen-Henderson sound. MAN! Who needs a name when you have THAT SOUND!!??!!
.... AND Vinnie Colaiuta on drums! MY GOODNESS...

My God that was delicious. Tone soup.
Q: Who else in the mid-80's was playing with that kind of tone?
A: Nobody.

I was at the the "SPUD" in LA everytime these guys played. This is one of the best bands I have ever seen live. circa 1984-86
...so raw and original. They later were w/ joni mitchell on the Dog Eat Dog tour and record......SICK!!!!
