when its on the bottom, they shut the whole ride down, and opened the gate so we could get out since we were on the bottom, something happened with the inertia, and it went up the hill, then ran out of inertia, and we rolled back to the bottom, lol, it was fun, but the top of the hill, that was not in anyway fun.

I got stuck on superman, sitting in the 1st car, at the top of the 1st hill, at Six Flags over georgia, also got stuck on it at the bottom of the loop where it takes your picture, so it was relaxing, it almost felt like i was at home asleep in my own bed, if you know how the ride does, i was laying back to the ground.

im not being negative but on The Great American Scream Machine, or GASM (lol) u were stopped because the train ahead of you wasnt completely in the station, they had to load it and prep it for launch to prevent an emergency proximinty shutdown.

@wowtherebuddy It's part of the control system and it's not a big deal. The control system usually stops the train near the top of the lift as a safety measure--in the event that all the brakes fail, the other train would blow through the station and end up on the lift but wouldn't have enough energy to collide with the train stopped at the top. You're safer up there than at the bottom. Restarting it is just a matter of waiting for maintenance forces do arrive to inspect and reset it.

I love getting stuck on rides. But some times it can get pretty scary depending were the train stops at a certain point of the course . i've been stuck on plenty of inversions on steel coasters. But it's normal for a train to stop.

The reason the GASM stopped on the lift is because the operator didn't bring the 2nd train into the station before your train reached the safety zone... It stops as a safety precaution to stop the trains from colliding with each other. When you heard the horn start blowing, thats how you know its about to start back up.

Sorry if i'm ranting... I worked at SFOG for 2 years (05-06) and in 05 I was the assistant foreman at the GASM so I spent many days behind that operators panel.
