Before opening I thought this will be disappointing being only a model but I was proved wrong and was very impressed. Excellent detail & sound of this record breaking loco. Well done.
Excellent clip. Captures a Deltic start pretty well. We just need a way of producing the classic twin exhaust smoke and we would realy be back on the ECML at Raskelf or Sessay in 1978. - Magic. Thanks for the first good clip of the new Bachmann Deltic Sound
the sound decoder thingys are only realy good for high pitched engines like the class 40's and the 20's they dont realy sound as good on things like deltics or if someone made one, an MTU. still good video and this layout is so cool
The sound was puny and distant, with insufficient bass roar. It was all there but needed to be beefed up. Fitting a big bass reflex speaker in the fuel tank is a satisfying and worthwhile project which took me about half a day, during which time I also lightly weathered the loco.
It is not a tricky job, but it is fiddly. The speaker fits in the fuel tank, which requires the bogies to be removed and the loco to be dismantled. The fuel tank weight must be removed and the speaker fitted in a hole large enough to accommodate it flush with the bottom of the loco (as opposed to sitting on top of the bottom of the fuel tank - otherwise it fouls the motor). You will therefore need to exercise some care when cutting the hole as it will require support. Good luck!

Erm, the guard can choose from the second, fifth or tenth coaches, all of which contain accommodation just for him.

Excellent video thanks. I'm awaiting delivery of a Pinza... it's been on order for ages.
Did you mount your camera on a train? I've been thinking of doing this for some smoother video, but I guess it would need balancing perfectly.

cool video, was it difficult to fit a bass reflex speaker? as I am looking to have a go at fitting one myself.
