I'm wondering when your reversed it, continuing the second time around if you skipped ahead to 3 knots? I'm confused on how you got 3 since you first showed us continuing onto 5. Please explain the continuation
I saw that some already asked this, but I couldn't find it in the comments: How would you do this in the round? I have a cuff design that I'd like to add this too, so also, how would you do an increase?
@cats23sara It should be possible. If you have a favorite vest pattern, you can replace the stitch with this stitch. There may be some trial and error with the modification.
Theresa, I have been trying this stitch for over a month now, watching video after video (I couldn't find one in your stream). FINALLY, yours came up in the search and I got it right away! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Your instructions and videos are always the BEST ones out there! I would also love to see a video on how to do the next row of stitches, where do I put the stitch to make that squared look I see in so many pretty shawls?
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video; you made it very easy to learn! If anyone is looking to learn this stitch, it's great for making a lot of progress in a short period of time. I just made a scarf in 2 hours, and I had never used the stitch before. Thanks again!
Hey Teresa, how could I do a round with this stitch? For example, if I wanted to do a hat or a bag and would have to have increases (and maybe decreases)? Thanks :)
hola i have 3 thread rolls of nylon No.18 and i was wondering if its posible to use it to crochet a vest with solomon´s knot. if not can you recomend me an open stitch i can use with this material ? gracias
You probably could make a vest using the knot stitch, with the right pattern. It is not something I have done before. Let me know if it works for you.
oye, qué bien enseñas! hasta parece cámara lenta, aunque no entienda en inglés, pero con este video...guau! así aprendemos muy bien. Gracias. Ana. de la CD. DE MEXICO.
do you think this would be the stitch i would need to use for a fish net type of waste wrap like what you would buy in a store and how would i go about making it like a big triangle to wrap around my waste as an accessorie.
You would add increases each row at the end to make a triangle. I have added it to my list of projects. If I am able to come up with something, I will post the pattern.
Thank you for showing us this stitch (it looks so cute in a baby dress!)
As I was watching this pattern I thought that if we connect the rows (single crochets) not in the same column, but in a checkerboeard fashion, then it will become a very loose net. You know that crochet was first done by men, fishermen precisely. I was wondering if this is how they were doing their nets? And the name of this stitch suggests that it is rather ancient. What do you think?
Teresa,I have learned alot from your videos, You use to say what your doing threw your whole demo, which was great! since some people listen to what you are saying, while crocheting it. ty
Thank you for writing. I still do say what I am doing. I would say about two-thirds of this video is slow motion so I mute the sound during the editing process as I do with any segment that may have slow motion.
That would depend on how long you want your scarf. I would suggest that you decide on a measurement and then make your foundation to that length or width. You can use the Knot stitch to make your foundation length or width.
Hi Teresa! This is something Ill definetely try. Do you have any projects in mind to use this stitch on? It looks fun and easy. Id love to do something with it!
You are welcome. I have a second variation for this coming up soon. The knot is the same but the placement of the SC on the second row is what is different. It is a fun and quick stitch to make.
I love these videos! I learn so much from them. But I have to ask, am I the only one that is just a little creeped out by the nails? Just saying..
