Man, 2 Cold Scorpio was soooo poorly used at that time! But that was pretty much the story for all Black wrestlers in WWF who did well in other promotions!
This is where Jericho stole the idea to use on Perry Saturn, huh? I don't remember this one, Pillman in a dress. Must have glossed over. Cool match, though.
The DDT. Unfortunately this was the Pillman after the accident so he wasn't the "Flyin" Brian style that made him well known. By the time he was in WWE/F he was more ground style.
When he was still a high flyer, he used a move called "Air Pillman" (Springboard clothesline off the ropes from the apron). Also dropkicked people when they came off the top turnbuckle. In WWF he really didn't have one, maybe a hangman's neckbreacker or a tornado DDT?
They made Rob Van Dam huge in the wwe he was wwe heavy weight champion, for a while, made the dudly boyz tag champions a whole bunch of times, made nunizo cruiser weight champion, but besides that ecw= a shit fest thats why it was always broke and finally closed down lol
@cosmokramerrules if you say ECW was a shit fest you are an idiot. The talent ECW had made it one of the best promotions in the world during its time.Pure wrestling, hardcore and lucha libre. They were amazing. You must be a fan of today if you think it was a"shit fest"
@cosmokramerrules To be fair you need to read the ECW book thats co-written with Heyman. It was a dying eastern promotion that was brought into the semi-mainstream by Heyman as ECW. It secured TV slots and PPV slots of which they would of secured more if they toned down the violence, but to his credit heyman wouldnt. It was run on a shoe string from peoples houses and basements yet it still went out on TV, it shaked promotions like WWF / WCW. If youtube gave me more space to write id say more...
@cosmokramerrules why do you talk so much shit on real wrestling...cause it doesnt have "special effects"?fuck hollywood, wrestling is a sport goddamn it
If I remember the "Loose Cannon" Dvd correctly...Pillman had no problem with this gimmick of wearing the dress. I would like to see the match he had with Roadie where Golddust interfered and hit Roadie to keep Pillman's losing streak going
Pillman's theme REALLY fit him..RIP a legend I hope to see him in tha HOF for 2010!! How can you not induct this man he was soo innovative, mic skills uncanny, and unpredictable!!!
Hey, what about Goldust/Dustin Rhodes, Since his dear ole Daddy, The American Dream Dusty Rhodes is in the HOF. And I would Have to agree with you on your point, thiggin83.
I remember this match! I have that whole RAW from Boluxi, MS on videotape. Pillman was the scariest bad guy since Jake Roberts, easily. His XXX Files promos he did after he won Marlena from Godust at Ground Zero in '97 for the time were DEEPLY disturbing.
@alexxxdavis How was it in person? And you wouldn't have to pay a dime for a DVD of this if I knew how to record this off my tape then giving it to you. I also bet seeing Shawn Michaels fight Mankind live was awesome.
@Ghostpilot1983 oh it was cause i was 12.. and at the time, shawn michaels was getting boo'ed because of summerslam 97 where he cost the undertaker the belt to bret hart... this biloxi raw introduced triple h to be associated with hbk.. and rick rude debut back into the wwf as the insurance policy...this was the raw where DX was really born but was introduced the next week in a promo im sure..
I would love to see the other match where he wore a dress with Bob Holly....Brian was wearing a blue thong and Holly had his legs up and spread, then lifted his dress and spanked him!!! Does anyone know where that video is?
Charles Skaggs was also Black Scorpio in Mexico, and after defeating and leaving Scorpio sr pelon, he lost the capucha to Scorpio jr (Rafael Nunez, also seen in Los Super Astros WWF)
Don't mean to take anything away from Brian Pillman, but it was a shame that Flash Funk was never given a real chance in the WWE. He was one of my favorite performers at the time.
RIP Pillman. Pillman was wearing a dress because of a stipulation with a match against golddust. Golddust beat Pillman and if Pillman lost, he had to wear a dress
My input, without the "controversial" Brian Pillman there would be no "Rated R Superstar" in Edge. Most recently, there'd be no channeling for Brian Kendrick to give.
You fucking moron mark, 2 Cold Scorpio is one of the most talented (and underrated) wrestlers of all time. Check out the Scorpio and Jericho match in ECW (see my profile), noob.
I never got Scorpios gimmick..he was a space age pimp or what? 2 greats going at it here loved Pillman RIP and Scorpio can still go!!!
