Velocity in the midwest is 300 cap, think psp is 300 as well. Longer barrels can be adjusted to but to a certain extent anything gun wise is asthetic. Play style and rate of fire aren't enough, if you want... call yourself a marksman, sounds more to me like a shorter range high accuracy shooter to me.

When I was a noob, I had a 21" barrell, that thing was so inaccurate and shot so short because the friction of the barrell, caused the ball to spin in weird directions. No matter what you do, you have to chronograph your gun to under 300fps(idk where ur getting 365). So no matter what barrell you have, the paintball is going to go the same speed so therefore distance 2.
@Johannmills actually you are wrong, not all paintball guns are the same, therefore they do not shoot the same distance, and the word sniper doesnt mean 2km shots, "sniper - a marksman who shoots at people from a concealed place" also if you use an APEX barrel you can get more distance and accuracy by dialing it in correctly. the marker i use is accurate within 100 yards(300 ft)
@Christof3264 the reason why bullets go furthur is because of their velocity, weight, and the fact that the barrels are rifled. in a paintball gun we are all shooting a paintball at the same speed, and they all weigh the same. and if "sniping" and using a "guile suit" and a "scope" is working for you thats great you're having fun, but someone with a 1.8 lb marker shooting 12.5 psp ramping will be superior to any "paintball sniper". i know what an apex tip is too and i can see how that helps.
@Johannmills as for this, i dont shoot the same speed as everyone else, but ok! and my barrel is custom made, with rifling. not the land/grove thing that most people can call rifling....and it helps ALOT, amazing what a little gunsmithing can do!
@Christof3264 also about the guille suit thats cool and can see how it works, i have ambushed people out in the woodsball field too, but all im saying is that you should try to invest in actually performance gear. are you using HPA and a regulated marker? if so good because that helps with accuracy alot.

@UndeadGoober im sorry to bust the bubble of proving him wrong, but when i went to sniping academy they taught snipers to create ghillie suits that blended with their grounds, and part of that was creating it with the environment surrounding them, so really its part of blending in using the grass and leaves that makes it harder to see the sniper, the ghillie suit is not just made to blend its made to disfigure you sharp form of gear and body as well.

i made my own ghillie suit. the problem i was finding with pre-made suits was that they never matched the field i was playing on. my field has tyres very very tall grass and lots of dead flowers on it. got lots of bits of string and foliage from the field and made my own out of an old german flectarn uniform.
@rejuised isent the standar german army camo a good allarounder? i know the swedish mitlary camo is so good if u hides in hige grass or a forest ur very very hard to spot. i talkt to a dude that was in the army he buddy was 2 meters away from him and he dident see him and he lookt att him :) what one of dose :)

@tompants2010 Well for 1. What one person may like another may not. This is essentially common sense which a lot of people seem to lack. Also you can buy realistic looking models for paintball, or the famous Alpha-Black. Which is an M16 they used for training in the military. I agree. Air Soft is really cool when it comes to the looks and feel of the gun. But paintball is the closest thing (That I know of) to getting shot without major injury or any for that matter.
You are entitled to play paintball in your own way. However, stealth is hugely important in my opinion. "running and gunning" usually leads to a quick death against any kind of skilled player with good cover.
ok dude if you are sniping you DON'T stand to shoot you take your targets out while prone then when you are posiive you have cleared the area move to a new position your ghillie is meant to conceal you in tall grass of a same or similar color so you don't have to pile shit on yourself and snipers kill from a distance not piont blank.
The idea of using the hay is clever. But the way it's shown in the video just doesn't work. The green ghillie does kinda ruin it. Now if it was a desert tan ghillie, then it might look somewhat better, and if they'd spread the hay out more than they had bundled up on him, then it wouldn't have looked so obvious.
First, you were obvious from the first two seconds of filming. Dark brown ghillie suit + light brown grass = fail. Your ghillie suit might have lasted against someone who has never seen one before, but wouldn't last 10 seconds against someone expecting it. Second, dude, you don't "stand up" in a ghillie suit to shoot. Even newbie snipers in the army aren't that stupid. Snipers shoot lying prone. And if you don't know what that means, you shouldn't title your vid "extreme snipers." It's arrogant.
That was an obvious Target... Lear how to hide..

@UndeadGoober well snipers do that to stay hidden, they add natrual foliage to the ghillie suit so that they blend in easier. so yeah, you can hide a pink elephant if you cover it with enough grass, and thats the whole point.

i made my own ghillie suit. the problem i was finding with pre-made suits was that they never matched the field i was playing on. my field has tyres very very tall grass and lots of dead flowers on it. got lots of bits of string and foliage from the field and made my own out of an old german flectarn uniform.

@rejuised isent the standar german army camo a good allarounder? i know the swedish mitlary camo is so good if u hides in hige grass or a forest ur very very hard to spot. i talkt to a dude that was in the army he buddy was 2 meters away from him and he dident see him and he lookt att him :) what one of dose :)

@SweStuff94 yeah the german flectarn is the best. thats exactly why i used it to make the ghillie suit. the difference between mine and the one in this vid is that mine is much lighter and doesnt look like a crazy swamp man. the sweedish camo is pretty good, maybe ill use it for my next project.

I Did it once while playin paintball and this is what happened;
I saw a enemy, I ran and hide ( I am such a coward, I know) in the bushes.
He passed by and did not saw me. I shot him in the back and half a second later his entire squad is shooting at from 30 yards
and I got hit 3 on my head were unfortunately is no protection ...

why wld you snipe in paintball? ghillie suits are not that hard to spot at close range and paintball guns do not fire too far. so its not like you can shoot me from more than a feww hundred feet out and by then ill already be returning fire

I really don't get why people would get sooo geeked up about mil sim in paintball??? Now airsoft i can under stand because you use RIFs (Real Imitation Firearms) rather than a weapon that was designed specifically to shoot ball filled with paint!

@tompants2010 Well for 1. What one person may like another may not. This is essentially common sense which a lot of people seem to lack. Also you can buy realistic looking models for paintball, or the famous Alpha-Black. Which is an M16 they used for training in the military. I agree. Air Soft is really cool when it comes to the looks and feel of the gun. But paintball is the closest thing (That I know of) to getting shot without major injury or any for that matter.

You are entitled to play paintball in your own way. However, stealth is hugely important in my opinion. "running and gunning" usually leads to a quick death against any kind of skilled player with good cover.

ok dude if you are sniping you DON'T stand to shoot you take your targets out while prone then when you are posiive you have cleared the area move to a new position your ghillie is meant to conceal you in tall grass of a same or similar color so you don't have to pile shit on yourself and snipers kill from a distance not piont blank.

The idea of using the hay is clever. But the way it's shown in the video just doesn't work. The green ghillie does kinda ruin it. Now if it was a desert tan ghillie, then it might look somewhat better, and if they'd spread the hay out more than they had bundled up on him, then it wouldn't have looked so obvious.

First, you were obvious from the first two seconds of filming. Dark brown ghillie suit + light brown grass = fail. Your ghillie suit might have lasted against someone who has never seen one before, but wouldn't last 10 seconds against someone expecting it. Second, dude, you don't "stand up" in a ghillie suit to shoot. Even newbie snipers in the army aren't that stupid. Snipers shoot lying prone. And if you don't know what that means, you shouldn't title your vid "extreme snipers." It's arrogant.
