@Pyroshen i think it is because... when setting up the scene/camera/lighting, they dont want the actor to have to be there for a long time while all that stuff if being set up. they have similar looking people there to shine lights on and see how it looks, and have an idea of what itll look like when actor is there...
@colt45joe This is right about the stand ins. I tweeted @abobrow and he gave me a huge explanation of it. "facial appearance not the issue, but need stand-in who is roughly same height & skin tone, for lighting & camera angles"
I don't understand why they have to have stand ins in costume that look like the actors? Anyone know?
