Just wanna say: thank you for all your Silent Hill walk throughs. I own a few of them (except this one seen as I don't have a playstation anymore) and I love the games and these walkthroughs. Even though you don't talk in them, which I honestly prefer as it allows me to get more drawn into the storyline, it's still good. @SILENTFLAME234 If I'm honest, shatterd memories was a poor attempt of a remake of the first one. Although it had really good graphics, I hated it to peices. The mechanics of them game, the fact it was so much a "fight-for-your-life" kinda thing and it just screwed up the story of it. Because people who are new to the series assume that the old ones are wrong or screwed up. When infact the newer remake ones are the ones that are a tad-off in the storyline department.

I suspect i have another version of this game; apparently the monsters from schools are different than this one, the ones from my game are something smaller than 'Hunter Beta' from RE 3 with claws, instead of little horrors with knife. Is the difference in regional version?

@Vlayko991 Yeah I remember reading bout that a year back when I was looking up info bout the SH monsters. Apparently they changed it because the 'Grey Child' was too much like a human child (the grey things with knives). The censors didn't like it, so they changed em to 'Mumblers' which have claws and as you say are brown to look more like psycho teddybears.

@Patriot16100 ok ive just found out how, u need to have completed it already. me myself i completed it on hard first time with the best ending, (dunno if thats a deciding factor) and then load it up in next fear mode, go into your options and press R1, some additional options should appear. then set the View mode to self view and then set the View control to reverse. its not first person exactly, the camera changes to just behind his head, but its pretty damn close to first person. enjoy

A few days later we went to blockbuster and the game that grabbed my attention was silent hill. @Jebact simply hold L2 and the camera repositions itself behind Harry. Except in tight alley ways. the ariel camera angels in the first few moments of this vid are for cinematic effect, i suppose - it was directly ripped in the modern film version.

When i was a kid, i used to see my brother playing this, but he never completed it, he was 15, i was 10 along with another friend. Still 3 people in the same room, my brother couldnt play this. So today (im 18) i remembered about the game, since i played SH4 and Homecoming, then might as well play this one. So far so good, not scary. Then darkness comes, enter the school, rapists children with knives appear.

Resident Evil 4 and 5... even a 8 yr old child can play without getting scared... try resident Evil 1, 2, 3, Code: Veronica, 0 and remake... those are scary for some good reasons that RE4 and 5 don't have xD

People are saying that this one is the most scariest, but out of the series, I would have to say Silent Hill 4 is the best. I'm also noticing some similarities. Those ugly dog-like things are very similar to the ones in SH4. Also, there is a street called "Levine Street." Also, in SH4, the uis a coin called the "Levin Street Subway Coin." But all in all, Silent Hill is awesome!

I have watched the playthroughs of SH2, SH3, SH4, SHHC, SHSM, and now this one. I have to say, I think I like SH1, SH2, and SHHC the best. they had excellent story lines in all of them! plus who wouldn't love the classics?
