i think it will be good if the judges would do something like a top 10...so not only the top 3 videos are shown but more...the best wuold be a global classification with all the partecipants in it...this way everyone is there and i think its so good for the moral :D

yeah judges will do it.. petrucci said we should pick our top 3 and tell 1 sentence about each of them. if somethings are unclear then.. i personally will post a video with my top 10 and how i judged them. ;) btw every entry was good... it was a really hard job, i spent like 5 hours on it cheers

Crosses my mind that you need to shift the audio slider in WMM to overlay the imported audio track over the video sound track (even if there isn't one), otherwise you won't hear the dubbed audio track.

If you can save your mp3 as a wav file, you should be able to get the wav into WMM. If you don't have a means to do that, download "audacity" (google it) - a decent freeware audio editor. You can convert it in that, as well as other adjustments. A file convert from mp3 to wma in "Super" (google that too) should also work.

Can some one help me out i got what i considerd a real good bass solo for this contest but all i got is audio and i don't know how to put that into windows video maker and then put it on youtube. It just doesn't expect the file for some reason, thank you in advance for anyone willing to give a tip

has anyone helped you yet??? sometimes WMM does not accept some MP3 files I guess due to the way it was ripped. Do you have a recording software like Cubase? create a track, import the audio and export as a new MP3. Then try importing it again on Windows Movie Maker.

If not, try using a different video editing tool I recomend Sony Vegas 7

i use to use cubase but i never worked for me so i use adobe audition 1.5 since thats what we use at school and i tried the MP3 thing and it keeps saaying Failed (unable to convert video file)

PetrucciFever, next time, you have to tell us the tempo of the track (105bpm in this case) and record the distortion guitar twice: one for each side. and maybe lower the 1200-2500hz freq. for me it was even better if u had a track that u didn't put a Limmiter on it.

anyway, it's a solo contest and not a Recording contest. Yet it will be much better if the guitarist had to put a video of them playing and not pictures with a backround music. tnx for the contest! great music to play with!
