I love how everyone says this boss was too easy. It wasn't hard, but it most definetely isn't easy when you don't get all the Master Materias and Kinghts of the Round while using Level 100 characters and Cloud's 100,000 damage Omnislash.
Sephiroth gets harder depending on certain conditions. If you boost Clouds stats, get your whole party to level 99 and use KotR on Jenova, he gets big stat boosts and huge HP gains, up to 400,000 HP and a LOT of defense. Makes it a bit tougher.

I was never able to hear the full song... all the fights (Including seph) were under 2 minutes :( Trained in crater with max everything (Ultimate weapons on everyone including limit breaks.) Went in, came out... 5 minutes... Weapon was more challenging than sephy and his momma.
Wasn't the animation beyond its time when this scene happened? Like as the song played the cloud's face was going all in the camera, making the song kind of ...epic?
If this is the theme, man it reminds me of Chrono Trigger, when you fight Magus and the theme plays right on point before you fight him. Like a cool movie scene
exactly. In the 90s, video games were only trying to copy cinema. That was not perfect, but if you played FF7 - for instance - recently, you sure must have realised direction STILL looks cool. Since the 2000s it's the other way around. VG industry became bigger than Hollywood and thus, apparently, sort of lacked the inspiration.

I call BS on Sephiroth being the final boss of FF7: The Jenova cells and Professor Gasts' genetic experiments MADE Sephiroth what he was, but the power of Jenova was behind it.

Might I say, if you haven't heard the final boss theme for Lost Odyssey (also composed by Nobuo actually!), I recommend you check it out. It's leagues better than O.W.A. imo.

The cost is a meager 100 gil per GP, and you can buy up to 100 GP for 10,000 gil (This can be done at once.) before he thanks you and leaves. He can reappear.

best jenova fight is after aeris dies and jenova life appears and you have the water ring equip everyone dies except that one imortal cloud who has the water ring and who epicly ass whoops the life out of jenova
And no, I don't use KOTR. Sure, I have many copies of it but I never use it, just lessens the fun. Oh, no counterattacks/Slashes either. Good old fashioned normal attacks with lvl.99 characters.

@ragnorokh That's why I played through the game collecting, but not using, ultimate limits, weapons, and materia. Just because you have it doesn't mean you need to use it. Removing all challenge in a game is boring. Did use Conformer, though. Best weapon for morphing in the game.

@yangchi2 the sad thing about omnislash and kotr, is that once u get those 2, the only thing that can survive them, is ultimate weapon, ruby weapon, and emerald weapons =(

@ragnorokh That's why I played through the game collecting, but not using, ultimate limits, weapons, and materia. Just because you have it doesn't mean you need to use it. Removing all challenge in a game is boring. Did use Conformer, though. Best weapon for morphing in the game.
