It's actually pretty simple to fake a domain, as long as you're on mac/linux. All you gotta do is edit the /etc/hosts file, adding a line that says "fake.domain.here 127.0.0.1". That will cause the domain fake.domain.here to redirect to your own local webserver, which you may do with what you wish.
