  • best film ever, best novel ever, and best comic ever!!!

  • What movie is this ?

  • @cjhyde78 trolling right?

  • Hendrix riff this movie

  • when i read the graphic novel i thought the line "now dry your eyes, and let's go home" was brilliant cos i expected this song to come on immaedietly

  • Whooarr.

  • Jimmy Hendrix like this movie

  • It´s an Apple commercial in the right on 2:26 :D

  • I'm still unbelievably mad at Zack Snyder for fucking up the ending. But he sure knows how to make a scene like this work. Directing all those music videos seems to have paid off.

  • @TheTrohl I still think people are being a little about the change in the ending. People just seem to hate it because the means are different, or did they really just love that squid? The squid wasn't all that important, Ozy could have used anything, he could have teleported a million rage virus monkeys in to New York and it'd have had the same effect

  • that "fine like this" was sooooo badass

  • 2:11 I'm sure there was a clip of Rambo somewhere...

  • one of the greatest moments in comic book movie history

  • 2:14 Loved how he's watching The Road Warrior!

  • Owl(Joker)

    Rorchach(Thief)

  • Two riders were approaching.

  • "hitler was a vegetarian..."

  • Damn it. This is my favorite scene. And this is the only video of it on youtube. But, its uploaded wrong. Now its all squishy screen ratio. Fuck, I hate compromising.

  • 00:20 sec mark, Holy Shit!!! its a smiley face, never noticed that till now

  • 20:00 sec mark, Holy Shit!!! its a smiley face, never noticed that till now

  • 1:56 "All Along The Watchtower... princes kept the view" -- pan back on Ozy's watchtower

2:14 "Outside in the cold distance... a wild cat did growl"

    Bubastis: *growls*

    Ozymandias: "What is it girl?"

2:22 "2 riders were approachin'... and the wind began to howl!"

  • @ijwi yeah zack snyders a good director he fucked up the ending though

  • Archie-batmobile epic song

  • Amazing sequence!!

  • is that blue guy part of the justice league??? iv never been sure

  • @italianmachine1222 He's got nothing to do with the justice league...There's a green guy in the justice league. Martian Manhunter...

  • 0:52 first i red: epic failure :D

  • 2:12 to 2:23. Second screen from the top right-hand corner. Nice. That is all.

  • oh the epicness...

  • So Dave the pale rider while Rosharch is death?

  • Ozymandias watches mad max.

  • Fine like this!

  • where can i find the dans and laurie vs thugs street fight?

  • The more I watch this vid, the more I want to see the movie and listen to the song. Hendrix is a legend!

  • crakka ass rippers

  • omg..brain hurts... not-used-to-this-degree-of-epicness

  • The song was actually the final line of this chapter in the original book so it wasn't the directors choice to use it really it was alan's idea.

  • i was so surprised when i first watched this part.... this song is just perfect for the film.

  • Nightowl: you need something warmer

    Rorscach: Fine like this

    BAD ASS \m/

  • WTF is this 1911 bullshit

  • @lopiyo Hitler was not vegetarian it just did not like meat.

  • what films this from

  • @charliehenryrufus watchmen. i highly recommend it

  • @aba2185 no - i won't watch men. i'm not gay. leave me alone

  • @charliehenryrufus is that a joke?

  • @aba2185 ? no.

  • @charliehenryrufus ok its the name of the movie you korean fuck

  • @aba2185 ok ... so the name of the movie is watchmen. is that some sort of dodgy film - if you 'catch my drift' or watever

  • @charliehenryrufus lol everything in the world is dodgy and am sure only a few will catch your drift cuz we r all living in a giant incubator now, the difference is that ppl like us r aware of it

  • GEE, this movie was pure awsome.

  • Rorschach is so burning mad he doesn't need to wear a coat in Antarctica. lol

  • All that is fuckin' great must have an end

  • Not just the best movie of 2009, best movie ever!

  • Jimi your the greatest

  • unfortunately, rorschach, hitler was not vegetarian

  • @theblehguy1

Well, since this movie plays in an alternate universe, perhaps Hitler was a vegetarian in theirs:)

  • @ByMjolnirsChords

Actually in real life Hitler was not only a vegetarian but seemed to love animals. One of the things he enjoyed most was playing with his two German Shepards, I forget their names as the moment. Unfortunately as he went completely insane at the end, he killed them some time before himself and Eva Braun.

  • Most epic scene of the movie, in my opinion !

  • 2:22

    two riders were approaching

  • this is a really fucking inspirational scene. gives u the chills. awesome

  • there should be a sequel because of rorschachs journal that he left with that newspaper guy before he was killed. He revealed all the hidden plots and he tells what really happened and that dr. manhattan was gonna be framed. that journal would be the cause to more upheaval and war thus sequel

  • @umbreonix Well it looks like you already know the story for the sequel. Thus no point for a sequel. That was the point for the ending was for people to figure out their own endings. Success!

  • this is jimmy hendrix! nothing others :D

  • good movie

    sequel? no

    the plots been forfilled

plus roarshacks dead and i wouldnt see the movie for the fucking blue man

  • How can there be a sequel? It's based on the Cold War between 1945 and 1989.

  • 2:05 when jimi says "all along th watchtower", it goes perfectly. i thought it was a good movie and i havent read the book

  • This movie. Fuck me. :')

  • I still remember ....when this song started playing, it drove the front benchers at the theater wild... the song is absolutely EPIC and the time at which it is introduced is so awesome.

The Watchmen is easily one of the most under appreciated movies of all time and that's a shame.

  • 1:11 ♥

  • Rorschach shouldn't have been killed, I don't care if he was telling the truth, he was a FUCKIN LEGEND!!!!

  • Bad ass movie, I hate Dr. Manhatten, he can take his blue balls and go fuck up someone else's world.

  • @Antihippie24 Fictional Universe.....*NOT OUR WORLD*

  • @Antihippie24 but he helped everyone ! :O until rorscach and nite owl destroyed it by giving that diary to the right wing press

  • first time i saw this... this song made me cry

  • Hey look, the 1984 Apple commercial is on one of Veidt's screens.

  • this movie has the best soundtrack ever.

  • @2:12 has anyone alse noticed the hot scene on the top screen, second from the right?

  • @12bulkhead Damnmit I was just about to point that out i saw that like a few months ago

  • BAD. FUCKING. ASS!!!!!!!

  • such an epic scene

  • damn this song is depressing like the movie but its awesome

  • I just went back and read the comic again, and 2 riders were aproachign is the name of the chapter all of this hapens in, and some more of the lyrics are in the last frame!

  • This song went so well with those scenes

  • i was so happy when i heard this song in the movie the first time its like one of my favorite parts just cause of that

  • Comment removed

  • My mind just got blasted out the back of my head.

  • Comment removed

  • This scene was so perfect, when I saw it I kinda thought the movie should just end with this scene, because it couldn't get any more perfect!

  • owl: adrian is pacifist, is vegetarian for chirst sakes, he never kill anyone in his life

    rorschach: hitler was vegetarian...

    EPIC WORDS! xD!

  • Sry but I dont understand very well the meaning of the song connected to the scene, can anyone explain me?

  • well you have the headquarters of "the watchmen" in antarctica or more specifically Adrian Veidt where hes monitoring everything going on a sort of watchtower so to speak

you have the 2 riders approaching Rorschach and Nite owl in the howling wind

  • @69MaNgIx96 when it's jimi hendrix been played you don't need any context to the scene, every film should be encouraged to play Hendrix all the time IMO! :P

  • great fuckin scene. awesome soundtrack on this movie btw

  • Are Rorschach and Nite Owl II good friends as well as parteners?

  • i hear you, jabels24 , i must have been at the same screening ! shazam1059

  • Would be a great clip if the dialogue didnt sound out the music so much, shouldnt really have it sound out the music at all.

  • there was a lot of awesome music in the movie. but i never understood how it fit with the scenes.

  • this movie utilized great music, and it made it even more amazing

  • 2:16 the timing of those lyrics is spot on, just like in the book "outside in the cold distance" "wild cat (bubastis) did growl" "two riders (nite owl & rorschach) were approaching"

  • Proud Jimi if he watch the scene

  • LUv this part :]

  • The flash - the flash from the mansion, must be Veldt activating the process to charge the machines that would blow up NY. But then, if the thing blows up at 12, as in comic and movie, it means there's actually a chance to stop the process by ripping the wires out of the signal relaying circuitry from the Veldt building (where i presume the it is located) before the clock hits 12...

  • @TheVoiceOfReason93 when Veidt reveals that he's already triggered it, you can see blue orbs in every city but New York. The flash is just the machine sending another orb into the second last city on the list - right before New York.

  • 'Hitler was a vegetarian' is like 'Einstein failed math' - a myth that won't die. One can understand why these tales survive, though. If they were true : the irony.

  • to be fair, the part at the beginning of the clip, if the screen cut to black at 0:23, it would have made a fantastic ending with Hendrix playing into the credits.

  • i was on the fence during the whole movie as to whether I was going to like it or not, but as soon as this song kicked in I was like "this film is legendary"

  • man the guy who played rosach is amasing in the role

  • REVELATION! song in BSG, REVELATION! song in Watchmen....

  • such a great scene.... the song is used perfectly in this

  • every time i listen to this song i get a shiver down my back

  • What the fuck, I want to hear Bob Dylan's version. I'm tired of the fucking shitty covers by Youtubers, and it's all Jimi Hendrix, Dave Matthews, or shitty quality Dylan concert versions. I want to hear Dylan, damn it.

  • @CrimsonPhantasms well the hendrix version kicks dylans versions ass. Sorry i still love bob dylan, but no one wil ever do this song better than hendrix, even the guy who wrote it.

  • @happywarmgun13 if dylan hadnt written the song there would be no hendrix version

  • goose bumps o my good dopest song ever

  • STFU i dont care if ur plane thing is gona crash i wana listen to hendrix!

  • I almost cried when I watched this scene start and this song play. Simply beautiful :)

  • OMFG this was the most intense scene cuz i thought the movie was gonna end and roll the credits at the part where it zooms out and u see the smily face...cuz it was already like 2 hrs in..BUT NO!!! MORE EPICNESS CAME AS THE WATCHMEN WERE GOING TO FACE DESTINY...Shivers went down my spine when i saw it....so fucking epic...WE NEED A FUCKING SEQUEL!! best movie 2009

  • @OffspringFTW65 Roschach died :( and watchmen isn't the same without him

  • @justask8 Maybe Rorschach didn't die. Manhattan might have just "subtracted his intrinsic field" to make him like himself, so that he could see things the way John did. But it would end up badly, since giving a psycho like Rorschach all that power would probably make him go around playing God.

  • @steigerlicious Nah the way this movie was made Rorschach seemed so un insane and badass ((:

  • @justask8 You can be badass without being sane. In fact, insanity and badassery complement each other quite nicely.

  • @OffspringFTW65 IDIOTS this was based on a graphic novel so there wont be a sequel dumbass...so mabey you should have read the book first so you would have known how it ends idiot...

  • @OffspringFTW65

Please no sequel, the movie was great partially because it was based on an epic graphic novel (which has no sequel). I think any sequel attempt would probably turn out disastrous.

  • @vversusv how about a prequel??

  • @OffspringFTW65 Well obviously someone didn't read the graphic novel lol

  • @0Banjo0

    Word Up!

  • @OffspringFTW65 A sequel would be the worst possible thing to happen X_X

  • @Arren9 yeah it would disrupt the epicness

like if they made a sequal to inception

  • @OffspringFTW65

    Sequel???

Don't get me wrong I also love this movie but a sequel wouldn't be authentic. This is one of the greatest Comic Adaptions of all time to one of the greatest Graphic Novels of all time. And even Zack said in Interviews that the Movie shouldnt replacing the comic, but motivates us to read it again and again and again... a sequel would be disrespectful. Everyone who watched the Watchmen has to read the Watchmen..

  • @OffspringFTW65 thats like making a sequel to inception or

    a sequel to AKIRA

  • @OffspringFTW65 SEQUEL? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • i love this movie so much

  • They needed a sound track like this in Star Wars.

  • I've had All Along the Watchtower stuck in my head for several days. I want to reread the graphic novel now.

  • one of the best scene ever

  • @kidewinks Hahaha. Are you drunk or something?

  • are you on crack or something? Hendrix version rocks even Bob Dylan said so

  • @scarletspider14 yeah Hendrix is cool, but but Bob Dylan is way better.

  • @kidewinks

bullshit. Dylan is idolized and hyped, hendrix was pure talent. I prefer Hendrix; but Dylan is still good.

  • @LiVeXb0X @happywarmgun13 it is very true.... i was reading a couple articles from the mid 70s about Hendrix and Bob Dylan said that he wasnt surprised that Jimi Hendrix covered some of his songs... he was surprised that Jimi covered so FEW of them... in his words "Jimi should be the only one doing those covers. I shouldnt be doing them. Those are Jimi's songs."

  • @LiVeXb0X Sorry not to sound rude but please "FUCK OFF". I'm allowed to my opinion, I prefer Dylan, that's that. There is no way you can change my opinion, I will never NEVER THINK HENDRIX IS BETTER THEN DYLAN. So stop challenging my opinion and FUCK OFF.

  • yeah music was definitely a factor in me diggin the movie

  • Rorschach:

    "Fine like this."

    Never gets boring.

  • All along the watchtower /

    princes kept the view ...

outside in the cold distance /

a wild cat did growl /

    two riders were approaching /

and the wind began to howl!

  • perfect escene .. excelent adaptation..!!!

  • perfect song

  • i was like wtf cuz i thought the movie was ganna end in this part after reading the comic

  • Totally agree balas31690. An intense scene which is elevated to a even more cool scene with this song coming out of the blue.

  • i got goosebumps the first time i saw this scene..i had read the comic but no way in hell did i expect them to play the song...

  • I'll agree that 99.9% of the songs where just perfect for the scene and the feel of the movie. However playing that Greenday song at the end was a really bad move.

Nothing against Greenday but it was a mood killer for me.

  • Yeah, I agree, but everything apart from that was spectacular.

  • @WARLog403 You mean the song by My Chemical Romance?

  • @kungfuharry I don't know what song it was, I only heard the first seconds of it. I assumed Green Day.

  • @WARLog403 green day which one

  • @TheZaid600

Whichever one it is that played at the credits. It's been brought to my attention that that may not have been a Greenday song, but I was not really listening on my way out with the crowd of people.

  • @WARLog403 It's My chemical romance, if it was Green Day then it would've ruined the movie for me, the track fits because of the lyrics.

  • one of my favorite scenes!

that song is such a perfect fit for it

  • Ok, THIS scene. THIS exact moment when Dr Manhattan says "I was wrong. Lets go home" and the camera pans out and shows the smiley.... when I first saw this at the theater (bear in mind I hadn't read the comic), it felt to me like the movie was over and I was like "Whaaat? That's it? This is how the movie ends?" Very misleading for the people who hadn't read the comic.

  • That mislead you because you're dumb

  • @leonlixinfong

No, that mislead mrpossibilites because this technique is usually in a movie to indicate the movie is about to end.

And I repeat, to USUALLY indicate the movie is about to end. USUALLY.

  • This movie had great choices for music the whole way through. He picked obvious songs, but damn, did they work. It gives the whole thing a period feel, and let's everybody connect.

  • "you need something warmer"

    = kinda gay?

  • @ENINNALP

No, the weather is simply too cold for what he's wearing. I suppose he eats pain for breakfast.

  • you never gonna catch batman saying something like that

  • "I'm fine like this" = biatch, i dont' need your gay ass clothing :P

    Rorschach ftw

  • @DjZer0s WTF? replying to the right comments was the first thing I learned

If it didn't bother hodgeman why would it bother me?

  • its funyy because that guy became a murderer in real life

  • which guy?

  • both, one guy can't be gay... the unlogics of that blow my mind

  • this whole movie was pretty good, but this scene is one of my favorites of all time. the music is too perfect.

  • the song goes there must be some kind of way out of here said the joker to the thief, two riders were approaching lol. It was perfect for their arrival.

  • wow, i love the choices for music.

  • Alan Moore filed a lawsuit to have his named removed from the movie adaptation of his novel due to creative changes

  • Jabel, I agree with you!

  • "hitler was vegeterian"

    hehe great line
