Please, for the love of any and all things holy! If you're a fan of anybody unfortunate enough to be in the American version, don't watch it because of that. The Danish original is great. The remake is a disaster for many reasons and on many levels. Very sad, considering the promising cast. They are really not to blame.

Watched the original last night - it's available on TATAN video. Hard to find so I hear. Good little film. This trailer looks very similar - some shots look identical and the cast are all look-alikes of the originals. - Have to say watching a Dutch film with subtitles is far more sophisticated that watching Renton put on an American accent (he will never be Obi Wan!)

The orginal danish movie is of course much better, since I believe that danish people has a different perspective to many things than the US, so therefor our movies are often very strange and different to the usual Hollywood movies.. Also that's why I belive, that you can't do a remake of "Nattevagten - The Night Watch" in paticular.. Sorry, but this movie won't ever be the same as the original.. :)
