The Montreal Maroons always had a white letter M on a maroon jersey or vise versa. They never did have a jersey with light colours surrounding a dark Letter M with a dark shirt. Your explanation for the Jersey is wrong. It is a cool photo and is archived legitimately as an accurate historical photo. I don't think he is a time traveler though.

Time traveler or not, the guy certainly pops out. Maybe he was a genius who was ahead of his time. Vivacious and eccentric, he sought to inspire a revolution, but ultimately was denied the the proper exposure. His ideas were far too controversial for that era and so...the masses shifted their attention to whatever the hell they're looking at on the left of this fucking picture.

If you want to prove your point, show 1940's wraparound sunglasses, not the square kind or a kind with side blinders, show a matching Maroon shirt (dark M on light background), not the kinds you did show which only display M's on dark backgrounds. Also, where does the date come from, it appears based on the vehicles and women's hats to be closer to late 1940s and the subject appears almost beatnik-like.

He's tall and skinny with a big head which was weird then, he's wearing a hoodie under some sort of coat and a logo shirt with a screen printed M I haven't seen before and some ice climbing shades with black leather glare guards.
