You should have started practicing using pencil and paper before going to tablets. Tablets are for those who are familiar a little bit with some drawing concepts and techniques. If you don't have a necessary skill, then it is useless.
Shame Wacoms customer care isn't as good as some of their tablets, saying that, I have an AIPTEK Media Ultimate very very similar in design and spec to the Wacom 4 and practically half the price but its great build quality looks very stylish and does the same as a wacom 4, in fact I think the usable area is larger too and 16:9 compatible.
What is left for the Syrian regime, the offender and the Iranian regime after the terrorist that committed the massacres against the Syrian people, and now discovered the mass graves of the demonstrators innocent to remain silent about these crimes will come grief to international regulations because it is set on violence and frustration in the hearts of the peoples of the international silence and double standards, and this is more dangerous than Global warming
working with a tablet needs many practise after 4 years practing and experiment i reach a level that my graphire 4 isnt good engouth for me anymore, i still need the junp to the Intous or better stage.
my tipp: when you feel safe and familar with your tablet. Like you hold a pencil draws on paper or you dont have to think about the stylus in your hand anymore, you are ready for bigger projekts.I cant work anymore whitout it
Have £20 Trust tablet and it works as well, if not better, than the 3-4 times more expensive wacom equivalent. Complete nonsense that other brands apart wacom does not work well.
HELP! I spilled a half of a cup of water on my desk and at the same time knocked my Wacom pen off its holder into the pool of water! The tablet itself did not get wet but the pen got wet! The next day I dried the pen off, and tried it. And the pen part would not work at all. but the eraser part would work normal What should I do ???
@EpicHawk You may buy a new pen on internet. I found some site where you can buy only a pen, which is significally chip. Or you can call on phone to wacom or by the site if your Tablet is still under warantee
I have WinXP and I need software/hardware combo that would let me explain statistics concepts (lots of math / calculus formulas) I donot even have photoshop. There are people who do great work with their Macs, but no one would do any kind of serious work or anything that's remotely complicated on a Mac. They'e all using some version of Windows that's out there.
So it only use it for photo shop? I have a wireless mouse, mac, afraid that it might fall, or possibly slip cause like he said at the ending its just like a bar of soap you know? So I usually use Deviantart for my artwork so is it possible using that too? Cause I always have this problem just making that glow with the color, texture or most of the time just grabbing a pure color. I want my artwork to be pure like my traditional artwork. Could someone possible help me?
I have a question, is Tablet ONLY for Photoshop or can it be used with like Paint Tool Sai, MS Paint and other drawing applications? I'd like to know cause' I don't have Photoshop. [You should probably keep the pen area thing, cause' I am not good at holding pens.]
@VampTheDuck you can use it for those. i'm TRYING to get photoshop (or at least gimp, because i'm cheep), but Windows hates me. and i find it very hard to draw because you have to keep looking at the screen while you aren't watching your hand.
@PhasmaPaula It would be easy if you're already a pro at not looking at your hand(I am so not good)... And same here, I tried to get photoshop, just that I can't. I'm also cheap. Using internet paint(ex. Sumo Painter), or just those painting applications.
You made me remeber of something: my right arm is kind of deaf (bad positioned bones, moves are a little different but hardly noticeable for the guest) and i can't use my right hand in most of things, ironically, i use it very well with the mouse.
But to draw ( i have a tablet ) i use my left hand XD
i was just wondoring do u have to wonder where to start on the tablet it self or u can move the arrow until u get to the point then when u want to start drawing u press some kind of button in the pen ?
I've a Genius tablet and I couldn't imagine photoshopping without it , you don't need to control the opacity of your drawing anymore , it detects the sensitivity of your drawing and apply it to the photoshop , just amazingggg
you might think they are expensive but it's worth your money
@acidongitim Wacom Bamboo FUN it's the one to go with if you don't have money for Intuos. This medium one has quite a large workspace so it's perfect for any artist. I have both Intuos and Bamboo at work and I personally like them both.
@MyAnthony9 It works but it's very annoying to draw in Ms Paint with a tablet. There is some kind of lag between drawing a line and the line appearing on the screen. I also noticed this in Paint chat.
@Designing5 XD Yup... good luck.. ^^ I'm getting one as a gift for my birthday... (which already past)(it's a late birthday present from my cousin's sister) ^^ XD

Hey guys I got I question if you could. I wanna get my first tablet so what should be a good starting tablet? I was thinking of getting a 12x19 but not sure if its a good starting tablet.
That would be overly big (of course it also depends what you wanna do with it). I heard a smaller, A5 size would be enough for those drawing from their wrist and A4 is enough for those drawing from their shoulder (or so I was told). An A3 is for CAD mainly, but the only person I know who works in CAD doesn't even use tablets so idk if it's true. For bigger screens (like 22" or bigger) A4 is idle (that's 1 size smaller than you suggested). Wacom is best (expensive) or Trust (cheap).
thank you soooo much for making this vid, i really wanted a tablet but i wasn't sure if i could use photoshop with it, and i def. didn't want to get rid of it ;)
Well I'm getting a Wacom (most recommended) Bamboo Fun Tablet on err...Tuesday. I suggest getting a Small size if you're a kid like me. The only problem is, is that Bamboo comes in crappy colors. I guess that doesn't matter much, at least they have blue xD
!!! HELP ME) i've got problem with my genius g-pen 450 tablet using photoshop cs4 extended. when i started PS after i switched from "brush" to another tool and back the strokes turning to straight lines. i have no idea what this is and why it hapends(((
I'm confused! How do you use the pen like a mouse? does it 'sense' that the pen is near when you move it around the screen.. and moves the cursor.. or do you have to be touching the lcd of the tablet with the pen to move the cursor?
my biggest fear is that since the monitor is separate from the tablet how will i know where to 'tap' the tablet to click on a small button.. say the buttons on the photoshop palette.
for this reason.. i cant decide to get the Intuos or the Cintiq
I think I heard there is some kind of magent or something in the pen and the tablet can sense the position of the pen above it for so far. Youd dont have to touch it unless you wanna click. :P
and you know where to tap just lick you know where to click, you see if on the screen. :P
*doesn't have a tablet yet but has seen a million and two videos with them*
its a bit like a mousepad on a laptop. it has a pad, where you move the mouse, and two buttons, where you click. On the tablet the men are talking about...there is a mousepad and two buttons...you have to click to draw :)
The tablet senses when the pen is hovering above the tablet, at this point when you move the pen it acts like a mouse. When you actually touch the pad, the pen then acts like the left click on your mouse. So you can see where you are before you put anything down.
Can some one tell me why my bamboo doesnt respond to preasure sensitivity =C I've had it for like 2 years, but it's in resent days that ive been in need of it, so I'd love to get some help!
wacom definetly is the best brand (the other ones have pen pressure problems..and only last a year and etc) so definetly the best brand to buy is wacom
even though the tablet is good and I think I wil get one I think that the mouse is pretty good too because I can get pretty good detail but not too good. So the tablet would be cool to have
That's not a Tablet, that's a digitalizer table, or something like that, but not a tablet -.-

a5 is a good starter... its not exactly a5 but it's close to a5.

I can't help but feel it would be hard to draw on the tablet whilst looking at the screen. Especially when you need to lift the pen constantly.

even though the tablet is good and I think I wil get one I think that the mouse is pretty good too because I can get pretty good detail but not too good. So the tablet would be cool to have
