Straightening curly poofy hair introduction

My goodness! Our hair is almost identical, I completely understand what you're talking about with girls who have pretty hair complaining. Its so frustrating, they don't understand what a blessing they have compared to us LOL. The only difference with my hair is its a little less curly, its more wavy. have you tried L.A looks curl gel? that what i use, (same prob) and when i need my hair to perform, thats what i use.. and trust me .. it holds..

just use a leave in, like fructis .. and then apply the gel, comb through, let air dry, then scrunch slightly

@ssips720 - Thank you! I will definately try that out! The reason Im scared to use Gel is because I know I would need alot and I dont want a greasy look in my hair or that crunchy fried look. But a cream first to shape the curls then a Gel on top may work much better... Thanks for the advice!!

I totally understand what you mean by the curly girls saying they have to straighten because they hate their curls. I also have had people tell me to just wear my hair natural. But I can't... I wish my hair curled nice and then I would just wear it that way all the time.

Plus, I think people with curly hair may have a harder time getting straight hair, but once it's straightened, I don't think they are as proned to frizz as people with poofy hair.

OMG... Your hair is EXACTLY like mine!!! It's a super wavy poof..... It's not curly, in that there aren't curls, but there is the S shape and it just goes back and forth.

Also, a lot of straight hair in my zig zag wave like hair, and altogether it's poof!

I straight or curl, depending on the time of year. Summer it's too hot and humid to straighten, so I usually go curly.

@theofficalaney - I bought the REVLON frosting kit for dark brown/black hair and didnt leave it on for the full amount to get the caramel color I wanted. You can leave it on longer to get a brighter blonde result. Then I follow it with a silver shampoo to keep the highlights from going dull.
