Motion 5 Getting Started Tutorial

Please, I need help. I don't know stupid my question can be and I think the awnser will be pretty simple, but please, help me. When I start motion, on the timeline, there is a bar on 301 frames that controls the repeat and holds the video. I can't watch and neither edit what's outside the bar. I don't know how to take it out nor to move it. Thanks for the attention.

@JaviPandu Motion and Final cut pro are compatible with each other. Motion is used for more of animations and effects. You create these effects. Final cut pro is a powerful clip editor. It is similar to windows movie maker or imovie, but you have a lot more control over what is in the clip, what they do, ect. The clips have to be made already before you can edit it. They are two separate programs, depending on what you want to do. You can do some research on google to find out more.

@speedcontrol21 Final Cut Pro is used for editing, MOTION is not for editing. MOTION is used for effects. Something like Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects.

I've edited a little short with FCPX, some clips are in Green Screen and I'd like to put some effects with Motion 5 (especially simple 3d camera movements). As I can't do roundtrip anymore,now the only way is to open Motion 5, reimport the clip, work on it, export it and REIMPORT IT on FCPX? Or is there something easier? Can you help me? Thanx a lot! Hey man whenever im in motion, the main screen on the right (im not to familiar with the vocabulary yet) shows the picture a little darker than normal, I think it might be something with the contrast, but the vid looks good in the preview, Do you know how I can fix this?

been enjoying your vids and wanted to ask you if you find motion 5 sluggish at this time with it being so new? I'm running a Mac Pro 2 x 2.8 quad core intel Xeon with 14 gig on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with a ATI Radeon HD 5870,,,,this card has 1 gig on it and when in broadcast HD preset, and with 2 or 3 emitters applied, and she starts to bog. Was hoping to get better performance with this set up. Anything to share? Is this normal in it's early stage of a new app? Thanks Zack

When I import videos and photos, there is just a black screen, it shows there is a video in the timeline but the canvas is blank, i made sure it is in the safe area and have clicked like every button i know of. I have used motion before just not motion 5. can you help?
