Americans are voting for this guy because 1) They are unknowledgeable about who this guy is, 2) even if they DO know about his past, Americans have short memories, 3) they are easily brainwashed, and 4) they fall for the guy's calls for forgiveness.
Most importantly, this guy doesn't have the temperament to be President. He's a hothead who doesn't stay composed. We're seeing this behavior on display during the debates. Can you picture him lighting the Christmas tree? Pardoning a turkey?
