New 2012 Hyundai i30 - First Impression in 1080p

In 2011 the Hyundai Sonata was the subject of recall due to vibration and looseness in the steering column; some owners claim the steering column disconnected while driving. The recall occurred after Hyundai refused to voluntarily fix the problem. Hyundai Accent owners as late as 2010 have complained of a vibration on the right side into the back seat. Motor mount, harmonic balancer, or loose timing chain some say but Hyundai refuses to fix it. Don't Buy Hyundai.

@legaladvocate71 You're talking about hyundai models made only for US...and those cars are crap, because they cut the expenses wherever they can to sell it very cheap in US. This car in video has nothing to do with those shitty Hyundais for american market. In fact, people who control the quality used to work in VW/Audi, which are known for reliability and quality.

I really enjoy how far Hyundai has reached in quality. This car can easily compete with Golf, and if they make good engines this might be a car I can consider buying myself :-)

@CarlosContreras6 Mine didn't, and I swapped in a 10 plate Astra SRI 180Turbo for it and prefer it over Astra. No problems at all with the i30 as I'd had with the Vauxhall, l and it does 56mpg and has more shove than the Astra which was doing a paltry 20mpg

Only 6 comments so far? I am not surprised really, Most people just don't even consider one because of the name, Hyundai and Kia's are not what they used to be. They have really made leaps and bounds in their designs in the last few years, I wished more people would actually just go for a test drive in one before they decide on a Ford or Vauxhall etc.. I think they would be very surprised. This new i30 is stunning.

Hyundai is the 5th largest automakers in the world they have as much designers as the others even more than some of the smaller companies, the product development takes at least a several years of preparation. Don't try to change the fact with your stupid judgement. Hyundai has it's own unique design language called fluidic sculpture. Although this Hyundai is yet to compete with the Golf but definitely a better car than ford focus by far

With all due respect, i think you are mistaken, Hyundai have their own designs now and are a damn sight more daring then many other manufacturers.

Cheap, no way, compare the quality of interior materials and they are better than some Euro's I have driven, some people just can't seem to accept that Hyundai has come of age and are building excellent cars that are safe, reliable, efficient and cool.

Best Hyundai yet, it's definately getting there. Hope the seats are softer than the 2010 model. Nice interior and I really like the colour.The new Diesel engine is pretty impressive also.
