he sounds a lot like python dwight schultz from portable ops.... is it the same voice actor i wonder. also notice how deep snake's voice is in this one, big boss' voice is at a higher register but more gruff (cigars are most likely the cause.) then old snakes voice is much more gruff.

you have to actually pick up the game case that it came in, look at the back, and look at the little pictures. one of them has a picture of the convo between u and maryl. and itll say the frequency. but thats on the ps1 case. if you bought the special edition pack like me with the first 3 games in it, it wont be on there

He's telling snake that meryls frequency is on the back of a CD case. Psycho mantis reading your memory card is sort of like an easter egg. He's suppose to be psychic(sp?) so hence he's reading your memory card.

Fourth wall is not when a character knows he/she is fictional per se, it is when they interact with the real world or address the audience directly. I wouldn't really say Psycho mantis is breaking since he talks to snake, but talking about the memory card which is impossible in the game's story is kinda doing it and o do other characters when they tell you to press buttons and look on the back of cases and such.
