I have exactly those type of parrots, two, male and female. When i bought them they were as they said only 5 months old and they looked so young that they were even unable to fly. Now they're about 8 months old and can fly. Somehow, they never drink water. Is this strange? Of course, there's water in bananas, the juice, but they never drink water. What do i do?
I've always wished to see a video of these birds in the wild however little to no footage has ever been recorded. Perhaps due to secretive dispositions or scarcity. Beautiful specimans.
These beautiful birds..so precious, do not belong in the home..but in the wild where they can be happy...but unfortunately, our world if f****** up and hope that these beautiful bables have a great home !!!
@tombennie I understand they do belong in the wild and the world is at times messed up. But their wild lives are also failing faster in these precious forests than in captivity due to our creed for natural wood products and love for money. This will never change Recently, This year for instance, Indonesia used an endangered tree to package a popular toy doll for instance. Unfortunately this birds beautiful green feathers will not compete with the other green on everyones mind.
Just catching up on some of your older videos. I notice how Savannah is watching you with the camera - really thinking and wondering what's going on. They both are so pretty - just want to hug them!
@momkat201 They were both about 3 months old in this video...it was right after they got here. Their baby sounds are different than their big girl sounds. I want to hug them also...but they don't like hugging!! :-) They like kissing...but NO hugging!!
Oh no Dixie is the Beauty Queen....NOT Savannah!! :) Although...I guess we both know who is the smartest one. Wonder which I would prefer...Beauty or Brains??

No, a great bill is not related to the ringneck / alexandrine family at all. This is a Great Billed parrof, Tanygnathus Megalorynchos.
