he is back in the J league with urawa reds,however he has not really been able to make a similer impact as he did in this particular season, in japan when the players get to about 29 or more they tend to treet them as if they are quite fragile, such as Motoyama for Kashima Antlers usually gets subbed after 80 mins. I suppose the J league managers care about the potential of the younger players more. Its a shame when players like Taka fade away like that,he may have been better staying in Europe.

I agree hopefully we see more of him in this type of form for urawa and maybe even the NT if the coach can have some belief in older players like Taka.His perfomance in the 2007 Asian cup was phenominal, and this complilation of him in this kinda form, some would suggest, at least I did,that at the time he was one of the most prolific, reliable strikers in the world. He's got great courage and rage and he's very confident for a japanese player.His other BEST season came for Jubilo Iwata in 2002
