Double sided tape? OUCHIE! lol

Just put a thick layer of loose powder underneath your eyes, then you can fleck the fallout away without having any color touch your skin. You could use scotch tape, but I do not recommend it if you have sensitive skin, cause you could react or break out from the glue.

Amazing! I love it. Also, FYI, you can buy little plastic compact-looking containers full of these little jewels (they can be found in the nail section of the drugstore because they are originally used for nail art) in all different colors! I have put 5 or 6 red ones by my eyes (with that same DUO glue which is amazing, too) when I was a devil for Halloween a couple of years ago and they worked perfectly!

I'm going to try to go along these lines for my Hallowe'en look, but I'm going as a "Sun Princess". Lots of Golds, yellows/light bronzes/light coppers. What would I use under my eye to make it pop as you use the bronze here? Anyone else, please feel free to comment if you have any ideas.

Another good place for fancy flasies is "My Diva's Closet". They sell the jewels, the glue and all sorts of eyelashes in metallic, feathers, colors, shapes and sizes.

You can also apply the glue with the handle end of one of your small detail brushes.

And you can get false eyelashes made of feathers. Or you can get long pieces of feathers and apply them to the outer corner eyelashes. Search for Way Wicked Art to see examples. Click on way wicked gallery. Pretty cool!

To answer your question, no it isnt too early. I have neighbors who already have their lights up. Kids in school get ready to pick their costumes and work on art and craft so no it isnt too early :) When you wait, youll be one of those ppl who are crowed at the store with no idea what to be or what to do. Like any event its always good to plan ahead :)
