  • this has been around how long now and people still pay allot more for traditional junk. i see little hope in the current system.

  • Capsule corp in dragon ball remember the Dome houses....

  • un usable and undetectable forces in your opinion. All of today's modern conveniences rely on energy emitions that were undetectable a little over a century ago. If everyone thought as you do, no one would ever have had the foresight to discover what at the time could not even be imagined.

Your unusable and undetectable forces of nature will change the face of society in centuries to come.

  • I want a clear dome over my entire house and lawn so it'll be summer all year. How much?

  • Darn amazing!

  • The Dome home is the future, cost and financing is the problem. When we get to the point where both are easy to find, the Dome home will be every where.

  • After living in an earthquake area for a year id put money on this type of structure than conventional methods, many buildings in Christchurch I had assumed were strong and safe were actually very weak, and took massive structual damage or some outrighted collapsed.

  • During the tornado that left destruction all around it.

  • Comment removed

  • Shotcrete is just as strong. These are FAR superior to traditional building methods. Of course, they are termite PROOF also. Termites dont eat concrete, pvc, or rebar. The dome church near pratt city alabama did great duri.g

  • Very interesting. Wonder how it would stand in a 9,5 Earthquake? the Pantheion still standing after almost 1900 years and many earthquakes speaks for itself, but was it built with spray on concrete? I don't think so.

  • Imagine if every house looks like that. birds will be confused thinking they are in a giant birds land. they look great though and very practical.

  • Wow!

  • Hmm with modern computer aided designs they should be able to build much more interesting air forms than just spherical.. Torus, spirals, sails, etc..

  • OK, earthquakes and winds may not be as harmful, but I there's no proof of the efficiency (heat rises), and why wouldn't they be liable to be destroyed by fire, termites or mold?. Please don't tell me because there's no wood involved..

  • @2010collapse 1) Less heat loss due to less air leaks. (2x construction is full of them)

    2) Good luck lighting concrete on fire.

    3) Termites don't eat concrete or foam. You answered your own question.

  • Great help for The ZeitgeistMovement as well...

    get off the grid

  • Great work!

  • Buckminster Fuller ftw :)

  • ...lower tech yet is a simple pile of sand or dirt, slowly form & pour around the base , when it is set up , dig or wash the the pile from within and finish as desired ont he outside & inside. This is how we did things in the old days , before the invention of things you could buy at the store.

  • So not in percetages but in dollar figures, approximately how much do these domes cost to build for lets say a large family home ?

  • need some of those in haiti

  • @Omega3chimp Precisely regarding this domes company and Haiti, check our my latest video on the Ceramic drip filters (if you have some time to watch it through).

  • thank fo the info

  • people like me and you who are "do-it-your-selfers" will take note and start building our own homes. Here's an example. Use a leave shredder to grind up discarded styrofoam or "eps"

and then mix with concrete to shape to whatever you want. Dig it? Then coat it with water proofing stuff. look it up... duh

  • Frankly the only thing I don't like about this approach is that the people making and selling the air-forms are charging a fortune for them. It would be much cheaper to make a conduit geodesic dome shell, skin it cheaply and tie rebar to that. Well, sounds good in theory anyway.

  • Awesom Idea..can't wait to have my own. Would love to build them internationally for missionaries and other folks in other countries! What an incredible idea! :{)

  • @MikeOBrien6640 Let missionaries live in mud huts. The scientific method produced this, not the belief in miracles and unusable and undetectable forces of nature.

  • @hughtub nice to see the scientific method has done nothing to improve your empathy and compassion for others hmmm...

  • @hughtub Actually it wasnt the scientific method! Domes were built LONG AGO! Of course Another Atheist trying to take credit scientifically for something that has been around MUCH LONGER and were actually built by people of faith! You and 7 other people are morons! Haha.

  • where can we get the " ground work " pattent to build my own Monolithic dome home? Please let me know. thanks a lot.

  • Building plans for some of their smaller domes are on their website for free. Just search "monolithic dome" on google.

  • Listen to Robert Green Videos and handbook for the new paradigm : Embracing the Rainbow and messanges from the ground crew. All is there for those who have eyes to see and ears to listen to.

  • 99z35...it's GEORGE Green...NOT ROBERT Green. Just an FYI with a :) And "The Handbook For A New Paradigm" is great but hard to read in one sitting. Better in smaller chunks. He does send it out for FREE with no strings or obligations. And yes, George does speak about domes for the HIGH WINDS and horrible weather coming with Earth changes. Though I think he means well, there is something about George Green that alerts my "BS" meter a bit. Just my opinion and personal feeling. Best to all.

  • you are all wrong. They are building this all over Africa and to Help the homeless and with plain dirt. ...this is a forever home a shelter. Do not be narrow minided all homes are expenssive here in California all are a million bucks and many cheaper not worth a damn. This is a miracle someone is trying to save many of us. If we had any brains we get together strangers and families and build them for everyone we love and everyone who helps build. Count me in please. Lets survive what is coming.

  • There's this guy i know, josh swait. And, i call him DOMEBOY i pic him stuck in a dome

  • I'd love to live in a dome house, it still very expensive to build.

  • It's expensive to build, period, in todays world. Harder even to find financing. But, as far as costs go, there is no other building you can build that will save you more money in energy costs. People spend thousands of dollars on solar or wind energy, when building an energy efficient structure from the beginning will save you much more money in the end. So you build a home that costs 10% more than a comparable stick home, but you cut your energy bill by 50%. They pay for themselves.

  • Super Adobe homes are very, very cheap and can be built with by almost anyone with a little knowledge. Maybe you could consider that option for building a home?

  • @amazingdany check out thevenusproject dotcom

  • One of todays modern windmills can provide enough power for 300 typical USA homes. If we changed 300 homes to domes that number would be 900 MDI homes maybe more if we used fiber optic lighting solar water heating and radiant solar heating last but not least heat pump. Excellent platform for solar panels add a rail to position the panels as the day goes by panels remain cooler too improving panel efficiency. Think this too you can build ecodomes and straw bale the outside then stucco saves $.

  • Do a production of an impending disaster where the neighbors, one with a very nice home like that of so called middle America they escape but and Dad stayed behind to fight the fire with their lawn hoses the dome family is on vacation and can't respond they return and nothing is harmed but their front door when the neighbor fled there to save his life. Next scene their motel dealing with adjusters, living with family..Your video is great for A types Americans are about feelings they don't get it.

  • Very nice presentation. Thank you.
