Protestors were influential in ending the Vietnam War, but I don't know what the OWS, etc. protestors hope to accomplish except for advertising that something IS very wrong with tthe U.S. and the elite that controls it. That being said, I don't believe that ALL the protestors should be labeled as lazy. Some undoubtedly are, but I volunteer for a homeless hotline and food bank, and there are MANY, MANY hardworking people who have lost their jobs (and their homes) through no fault of their own.
So most of these people are either College students straight out of school, people who lost their jobs (and look around, its a poor economy and hard to find one), or hobos. College is far overrated... There are many great high paying jobs that only require a high school diploma and a good work ethic. These jobs are located in the manufacturing idustry. Fourty percent of all open jobs in America are manufacturing jobs. The reason all of these people are bitching about not having a job is because they have horrible work ethic.

People with $150,000 worth of debt clearly should have looked at the payoffs of that education and whether they could have found it cheaper. I don't know any degree that could be worth that much debt. Protestors were influential in ending the Vietnam War, but I don't know what the OWS, etc. protestors hope to accomplish except for advertising that something IS very wrong with tthe U.S. and the elite that controls it. That being said, I don't believe that ALL the protestors should be labeled as lazy. Some undoubtedly are, but I volunteer for a homeless hotline and food bank, and there are MANY, MANY hardworking people who have lost their jobs (and their homes) through no fault of their own.

College is far overrated... There are many great high paying jobs that only require a high school diploma and a good work ethic. These jobs are located in the manufacturing idustry. I don't know any degree that could be worth that much debt. If I was out there in one of these protests, I'd carry a placard displaying a pie-chart that contrasts the average American CEO's pay (in money green) to that of the average worker's pay (in blood red).
My -- "kick them in their greedy nuts!" -- placard would clearly indicate that these CEO pigs are stealing over 300-times(!!!) the amount of money the grunts below them are being being paid!
Said placard would also include a solid Source from which the info was derived from.

@beancube2010 not ony that when lawyers sue companys the money is from the workers and they fire more people the lawyers get coupons for the people, while they get hard cash. a lawyer sued microsoft for twenty million, the people who they said over paid for microsoft prodcuts got coupons to use, so they can buy more microsoft products while the lawyers got five million in cash. microsoft just lowered the pay to employess and fired some to off set the loss of twenty million to microsoft.

move money to local small banks. sell all investments in publicly traded companies (401K,IRA), keep cash at home, stock up on things you need anyway. Buy local, buy American. If you are in public service try to redirect pension funds into the local economy. there is no need for anybody to have their houses foreclosed on. 2/3 of the total national debt is owed to the people (10 Trillion) and another 17 Trillion is tight up in municipal pension funds. That's enough to fix the economic basis.

Just because people come together for peaceful protest, and are reasonably well organized, it doesn't mean they can keep out every single undesirable, or create a Utopia, that's just a bit unrealistic, sad as it is. :/
