  • White Cracker Thieves took all tha BLACK WRITEN songs and took credit,,, Word from word though, .... Beatles, Elvis, ^... SHM... no offense

  • @ladellmb1998 you dumb POS--First of all, there is no such word as WRITEN. I am guessing you meant to write WRITTEN. You black gorillas who are four generations removed from the JUNGLES are subhumans. The Beatles and other white artists have always recognized the contributions of black artists to the music they played. Now you want to talk about thieves, how about y'all n*gg*s who rips each other off with y'alls samplin' and puttin' da' bros work on y'alls rappin' recordins

  • > Beatles

  • The organ mood perfectly matches Eric's vocal. Let's give Alan Price some credit here.

  • jim morrison and eric burden are my favorite singers f the 1960's. nothing but raw talent!

  • DaYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY~YuMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" is a song written by Bennie Benjamin, Gloria Caldwell and Sol Marcus for the singer/pianist Nina Simone, who first recorded it in 1964. "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" has been recorded or performed by many artists, and is widely known by the 1965 blues rock hit recording from The Animals

  • An amazing singer and brilliant musicians that are very often over looked !!

  • Awesome!! and hell yeah Eric Burdun was sexy here... oh god

  • I love some of the Animal's music, however, this is a powerful song and for some reason while listening, i felt the singer just wanted to rush thru it. I've enjoyed other renditions much better, just sayin!

  • Love these guys. They were HOT!!!

  • Back when songs were done so much better. Only if they had the audio/video technology to record now, how much clearer and crisper it may have sounded.

yeah, dropping to his knees was awesome.....he's usually so stoic, i love seeing him move a little, but glad he wasn't crazy all over the place like they are now

  • @marialena68. You're right! Eric is unbelievably soooo H-O-T! I love it when he goes down to his knees! What a romantic.

  • Excelente voz...........excelente puesta en escena

  • he looks so young, can't believe the voice coming out of him! It is surprising that his movements are generally minimal, but his vocal expression is stunning

and what a song for young people--please don't let me be misunderstood....

    DAMN

  • buenisimo en vivoooooooooooolokitooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

  • oh I love this....

  • 3 people do not understand Eric Burdon.

  • this is a good video to have on favorites. But I think that u cannot compare him with Jim Morrison.Theres nothing on the history of Jim that shows he try to imitate or try to be anybody as a copy cat. They are both hell of a good artist and legends to make up roomers like that! They each did there own shows.Which I enjoy to whatch them all.

  • Eric Burdon might have been the most underrated singer of the 60's--he had a unique and very powerful bluesy style. Another poster said that Jim Morrison was greatly influenced by Burdon--completely agree!!

  • this is my favorite song from the 50/69 era of rock and eric bordon is extremely in control and has a style that isnt misunderstood. clearly he is geting the best of his music from his performances.!!! which means a lucky audience. its fasinating.

  • This is by far the best performance and the best ever version of this song, ever! You go Eric! Whew . . . He's soooooooooooooooo H-OT! This could be the best Rock'n'Roll clip on YouTube!

  • FORMIDABLE !!!!!!!!!!

  • THEY LOOK LIKE THE BEATLES ... BUT THIS HAS BETTER VOICE.... LIKE THEM

  • I want a Boyfriend like Eric !!!!! XD this song is amazing!!!

  • one of my favorite songs man

  • Eric Burdon - I live his voice, his performance - so sexy

  • I miss this Time

  • So fuking great

  • oh my god did ya see that at 1:21? that was pretty hot!

  • How great is to hear a REAL voice live? Not the auto-tuned crap of today’s “music”.

  • damn at the begining that shit scared me that was loud XD

  • original gangsters!

  • FAVORITE SONG OF ALL TIME!!!!!

  • Totally cool and hot -- all at one time! Whoo! What Soul! An amazing voice. An amazing performance.

  • I love this song. What a voice that man has. This tape is a treasure, thank you for posting it!

  • Oh to have been there...

Ooh, I like it when he drops to his knees in this song.

  • Is this a new band?

  • @lem1968a1 are you joking? this video itself's from 1965.

  • JUP JUP<3

  • always the animals

  • His voice is crazy! i love it. It's unique

  • Cassical Mussic !

  • I love how all the drumkits are lined up in the back ground of the clip. As the bands come out the next one is rolled out :-)

and yes... Burdon had/has an amazing voice.

  • Mannnnn ! what a voice he had !

  • @grimwat "has" I just saw him this summer... and he sounds GREAT!

  • @Skankin06

I'm really happy to hear that! From a few more recent clips I thought he's lost it.... now I'll just have to hear him live!

  • @grimwat he still does

  • @grimwat he still has...:)

  • @StefanFlagit ... it's great to hear that, Stefan, I'd heard a few clips where I thought it sounded a bit shot, but a few others have said the same thing, and pointed me at some later clips. It's wonderful to know all that effortless power and clarity is still there!

  • @grimwat brilliant singer

  • @grimwat - still has. I just seen him a week ago in Santa Cruz sounded just as good if not better.

  • @SSsharkSJ

Thanks for telling me that!, I thought he might have lost it with age, but next time he's going past I'll catch him live for sure.

  • he had the best voice of all the british r&b artists... made jagger sound shite

  • I´m agree, this song is awesome!

  • Awesome performance by The Animals!

  • they did it way better, and she didnt write it either u dumb nig

  • their music just speaks to you!which is awesome because it was made what like 50 years ago!But it is so good that people even today find their storys in this song!

  • It almost makes me mad.

Singers today don't need any talent, i mean you cant find a single band today that sounds this good live, even with all the instant editing that goes on no, they cant compare to a band recorded 4 decades ago.

  • Dear MadasaHatter.,

Mmm, I don't think your claim about differences between then and now are accurate; the citizenry is the same and the need to created business is the same -merchandising has developed.

    .

There would have been a fellow with discriminating taste, just like your good self, who found satisfaction.

It may very likely have been thought at the end of a more thourough search -a prerequisite of that era.

    .

    Good luck.

    .

  • idk what Madasahatter is but i assume you mean me, as you were responding to my comment.

You dug way too deep but you seemed to have given yourself smug satisfaction and if you do truly believe you are correct than don't reply or carry out this argument any longer. that comment was posted after i saw this song on lil waynes song dontgetit.

Watch the song and see if you don't become a trifle irked.

  • Agreed. Its sad to think that there will probably never be any bands as good as these.

  • My favorite song by the animals but a little rushed.

  • eric looks a little strung out yo

  • wow this is nice

  • please amm!!!!!

  • I love this song.

  • Also like the 10 min. long Santa Esmerelda version on the Kill Bill Vol.1 soundtrack.

  • that's awesome

  • One of earliest modern microphone-use.

Hmm, did`t Jim Morrison see The Animals before he started Doors...

  • Of Course Margus.

  • good one

  • yes the original is the best !!!

  • i agree man, something about studio recordings that live recordings dont have.

  • geeeeez i wish i could have seeen themm in concerrtt:D

    they aree AMAZING!

  • Maybe imitation is the greatest form of flattery?

  • its not stealing its expressing them selfs and they did a bad-ass job on the song

  • they wouldn't promote the black artists. The labels owned the rights to the songs so they did what ever they wanted with them.

this doesn't even touch the original. Doesn't even come close to John Legend's version

  • I prefer it to Nina Simone's version which is too slow, and this kicks John Legend's butt around the block.

  • thats true

  • <3 Eric.

  • Great live, great in the studio, great performances decades after decade, great sound decades later!

  • DRUGS SUCKS
